Blokus
This is a great family game. I play with my wife and our two kids (ages 12 and 7). The game time usually only lasts about 15-20 minutes or so. My 7 year old figured it out very quickly in just a few games. He gives us a run for our money and understands how to block the opposing players even at his age. The rules are straightforward and the strategy used makes it very competitive since your goal is to impede other players from playing while you try to give yourself an out. It reminds me of the “bike” racing game from Tron. This game is very addictive and easy to learn.
