We’re busy but having an absolute blast at our booth at Gen Con. It’s been great seeing users of the site in person! We’ve seen some great games that have come out and are coming soon.
We’ll post more photos and talk more about Gen Con once we’re back, so on with the discussion of what everyone is playing this weekend!

Currently resting up from two heavy duty days at GenCon…but thanks to you guys I played some GREAT games I might not have played! Alcatraz, Libertalia, Hot Rod Creeps…the list just goes on!
I wasn’t able to do the GenCon thing, but this weekend I have games of Eclipse, 18AL, and Founding Fathers going, all over PBEM…
Looks like I was right. Way too dang tired to read up and actually absorb rules – only got two or three hours sleep on top of that. Tonight should be better.

7 Wonders is a lot of fun. It feels so much more different than any other deck builder, and it adjusts so dang well to your group size. I need to pick it up – might do that today.
This is my sixth year at GenCon, and one of the best thimgs about it is that there is always something new to do!
I’ve played some High Noon Saloon from Slugfest games, Atlantis Rising, Evo, Dixit, Warmachine/Hordes, Gruntz 15 mm, ****** Birthday, Telestrations, a game that’s on Kickstarter right now that involves semitrucks and transporting pigs, cows, corn and beans across the heartland (sorry I don’t remember what it was called), Pajaggle, Jerk, and Hike.
Still on the list is Village, Belfort, Ugg-tect, Smash-Up, Epic Spell Wars and any other game that looks cool enough to try. Speaking of, they are not demoing Village, Belfort, or Epic Spell Wars in the dealer hall that I could find, so if anyone here has and knows those games, could you give me a shout? I really want to try before I buy!
Also gencon people, check out the food trucks on Georgia Street. They are awesome! A little expensive, but you get a ton of food that is way better than the microwaved junk that is available in the convention center.
wishing I was at Gen Con, playing anything and everything available there! Instead however, I will be running my 4e campaign today and I am most excited about it! Oh and we’re going to try and take down the Balrog in LOTRLCG!
I’ll be lucky to play anything this weekend. Traveling.

Just picked up 7 wonders today. It’s fantastic!
The Draft mechanic and simple resource system make this game fast moving and great fun. I will definitely try and squeeze in another game this weekend.
I’m also trying to set up a cutthroat game of BSG (Battlestar galactica) for Sunday. It should be a blast!

First time at GenCon, it was a blast! Ill be going again next year, no doubt about it.
This weekend I’m playing the new games I picked up at the con: X-Wing, Ninja, Panzer General and Carcaassonne.
I’m here at my first Gen Con and having a blast! Since Thursday, I’ve played full games of Dungeon Run, Zpocalypse, Bears!, Star Wars miniatures, Smash Up, Invasion from Outer Space, and 5 games of Heroscape. Tomorrow I’m on for another 5-game Heroscape tournament and hope to demo some cool stuff in the Dealer Hall. And I’m doing my best to get the Boardgaming.com and Cheese Weasel quests, as well.
Spending time at Gen Con!! 🙂 We just got here Friday afternoon and are having a blast! This is my 12th year going. Love it! Already played Catan Dice and a 7 Wonders demo. And yes I got my boardgaming.com bonus! 🙂 Tomorrow is Pillars of the Earth, Arcana, and more.
So jealous of everyone at GenCon! Next year, so I can play some great games;) But my best fried and I are having game night at his tomorrow!! Gonna play Smallworld with expansions for the first time, Munchkin once or twice with the new Guild cards added in, and since the wives are involved, I know Bananagrams will break out around midnight! I learned Android Netrunner sold out in 10 minutes at Gen Con. I just wish I had other players in my area interested in original Netrunner. Andy is a lucky guy!

AHHHHH…I wish I was at Gen Con!!! That guy Andy in the pic is one of the best gamers around. He suggested I learn Summoner Wars…so that is what I am playing this weekend. Also Pokemon with my kids, Quarriors, Fluxx and hopefully 7 Wonders with the Leaders expansion.
Millhouse…have a BLAST at Gen Con. It will change your life! And your sleep cycle!
I’d love to get Dungeon Command to the table since I just got it, but I’m feeling dead right now and don’t know if I’ll be getting up in time to hang out with you daywalkers.
I’m hoping for some Netrunner (original), Antiquity, and Toc Toc Woodman to start off the weekend, hopefully with some cube pushing thrown in around Fantasy Football drafting.
I won`t be attending Gen Con, either, though it`s less than a month till I will be spending a long weekend stuck in a room full of games and gamers…poor me…:P attending a gamer gathering in Stavanger.
I just took a brake from Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy on PS2, and it`s about time to start training for the gathering, bringing out my games for some play-through, maybe visit my club on Monday. Have fun on Gen Con!!
Well, I won’t be at Gen Con this weekend but I will be getting games of Zombies!!! and Pittsburgh 68 in when I do my weekly demos. We are also getting together with some friends so I’m sure Settlers of Catan, Village, and Puerto Rico will be played as well.
One of these days, I will get to go to Gen Con.
Have to keep going with the editing — it might turn into something!
In the meantime, no games for me this weekend.
