Weekend agenda: 1) crack open Grey Fox Games’ upcoming Champions of Midgard, a great looking combination of worker placement and combat; 2) finish our Undercity campaign; 3) play our all-time favorite horror game – Ghost Stories – and try to get to as much other scary fare as possible. The Nightmare Before Christmas Munchkin is pretty likely. Poor Blood Rage will need to wait another week…
What are you playing this weekend?
Played Imperial Assault and Castle Ravenloft
BattleTech, some euro-style board game or maybe me and my friends are going to start “Lone Wolf Adventure Game” RPG campaign. Hate these kind of decisions 😀
We played Hearts, Space Cadets: Away missions, Roll Through the Galaxy, and Heroclix. Would have gotten more gamed but the weather was very bad this weekend.
Lots of games played at Halfway to Tabletop on Saturday:
Robots on the Line (decent game, but not to the taste of my regular gaming crew — ended up donating it to [toggle Gaming] for their library)
Kingsburg (so close to winning — was roasted by Dragons when I rolled a 1; literally any other roll and it was my game)
Codenames (lots of fun on both sides of the screen, playing both with my regulars and a mixed-age crowd toward the end of the night)
DC Deckbuilding Game: Teen Titans mixed with the ARROW expansion (reinforcing that I’m not a fan of the Teen Titans base set)
Village two times. It’s a greate game with a lot of options.
I got in two games of Forbidden Island, Takenoko, and several games of Carcassonne.
Played a lot of Tokaido with my daughters and we loved it as expected. Also, played Imperial Settlers for the first couple of times. Can’t wait to play some more.
The third game I just picked up, Robinson Crusoe, I couldn’t quite get to and part of that was that I am intimidated. 😉
I was part of the cabin trip Elida mentioned above but had an extra day off at work to get in some more gaming.

Unfortunately, nothing … sickness hit our usual group of gamers, so we didn’t get together.
Since I am working next weekend which is Halloween, our gaming group was gracious enough to have our spooky theme game night on Saturday. Played a game of Ghost Stories and came oh-so-close to beating it! Also played a game of Zombicide, Xenoshyft, Betrayal at House on the Hill and Werewolf.
Now time to finish off the weekend with a quiet game of Stone Age with my girl.
