This week we had two perfectly-timed spooky arrivals that will get priority: Smoothie Games’ Dark Age Z will get the unboxing treatment, and hopefully provide some zombie-bashing fun; and Kickstarter rewards for 8th Summit’s Coven are waiting patiently for attention. We’ve also played several rounds of The Little Prince: Rising to the Stars this week with a friend’s 10-year-old son, and this re-imagining of Tokaido has been a big hit that’s likely to hit the table again.
What are you playing this weekend?
Finished up the weekend with some Catan, Galaxy Defenders, 10 Days in Europe/Asia, and more Star Realms
We played Heroes Wanted on Saturday night, where my hero, Leather Justice, won the day. 😀 Also some DCDBG.
At long last, I bought Machi Koro! My girlfriend had played it once previously and loved it, so I scooped up a copy on Saturday. She taught me how to play last night. It was a lot of fun, and I’m looking forward to trying the game with more than two players.
The most shocking thing this weekend is that I have not played any LotR:LCG.
Did get in a game of 1825 Unit 2 and a game of Machi Koro though.
I just moved, so I am playing “fit all the games back on the shelf.” Because whatever does not fit I have to sell or trade away
I just played Canterbury (form Quixotic Games) and Ticket to Ride Europe; both for the first time.
I enjoyed them both.
Only a game of Pandemic…want to prepare myself for Pandemic Legacy
Yesterday ended up playing tricked out hero, code names, and roll through the galaxy. Today I will play tricked out hero, and try to play flapjacks and sasquatches as well as a selection based on what others want to play.
Having friends over for Dixit, Cinque Terre and Artifacts Inc. It’s a long weekend with Monday being a Public Holiday, so there will probably be more.
Update:
Okay so I borrowed my friend’s copy of Cinque Terre and my 6yo son, managed to rip one of the boards off when he was closing it (apparently). So, quick trip into the city to buy a replacement copy ($86) for my friend. So, I guess I now own a copy of Cinque Terre albeit with a broken game board.
I also bought Viticulture and Zombie Dice 3.
Will be playing Tricked Out Hero, Flapjacks and Sasquatches with the new expansion and Space Cadets: Away Missions. Will also begin working on my latest KS Rise of the Kage.
I have twice started Flip City but both times we ran out of time to complete the game. It was bad planning on our part so I really hope to COMPLETE a game or two if it this weekend. It is hard to get a glimpse of the strategy and not be able to finish it or work with it to see if you can get it to work for you.
An epic weekend of Descent is upon us. Many scenarios to be completed! 🙂
We finally got our missing cards for Pathfinder Adventure Card Game this week. Made it thru the first beginner adventure. Also Flick em Up last night. We’ll see what else we can get to the table.
me and my friends played Munchkin, Doodle Dice, Cthulhu Realms, and chez Greek. the last three are not listed on this site… yet!
I’m attending our big 3-day local gaming convention this weekend. Looking to get some serious gaming in. Already have a play of Eclipse, Shadows of Brimstone: Ancient Cities, Catacombs & some other miscellaneous stuff under my belt for 10/2/15. GM had all the bells & whistles for Eclipse – all expansions plus some fan-made stuff, good game! First plays of Shadows & Catacombs – both were fun, but really enjoyed Shadows of Brimstone. Mechanics are the best parts of Descent and Arkham Horror.
Played Glass Road, Andean Abyss & Napoleonic Wars on Saturday. First play of Andean Abyss, really enjoyed it. Nappy Wars is always a blast.
Played Here I Stand on Sunday. Got to try my hand at the Protestants this time. Great game!
Machi Koro times a million.
@threeoutside, my guess is that it used to be an old racial slur at one time?
Spirit Island, Spirit Island, probably some Sentinels, and the more Spirit Island. I’m very excited about this Kickstarter.
Huh. Why did this site replace the card game s p 0 o ks with ****** in my comment?
We’re playing Betrayal at House on the Hill, and if there’s time probably a round of ******. I got Betrayal for Christmas and I’ve been chomping at the bit to play it, and this is the perfect time!
