If we can get a 3-5 group together we’ll be playing Lords of Xidit by Asmodee. Then we’ll probably pull out some lighter games like Seventh Hero by AEG and Coup by Indie Board & Cards.
Quiet weekend with only an evening of Dead mans’s hand on Saturday but getting a few things done in the garden and house.
The key I’ve found to Dungeon Quest is to not take it serious. Not much beats (in a hilarious way) finding a botomless pit (and failing) on your very first step 😀
@Lone That’s been my experience with Dungeon Quest. It is a death trap. I think I remember winning once just by walking out almost immediately with the chintziest of treasures and waiting for everyone else to die. The dungeon can hit hard and things end bloody and abruptly. They should call it Dungeon Qu
Curses! Forge War sounds cool! Sadly, I didn’t fathom it at the time and it was just short of my Worker Placement kick. Boo! 🙁
12 games but I’ve got my butt kicked by Legendary Encounters and the first games were not very long. Same thing for Dungeon Quest where the first game took barely 15 minutes.
The real thing is Forge War, I have played 1 game in normal mode, 1 solo game also in normal mode and 1 solo epic game that last 3h.
The short version for Forge War is that it feels like Lord of Waterdeep but it’s a deeper game. You have a pool of adventurers that you equipped and send to quests that takes several turn to complete. You can level up your adventurers with unique abilities. The game is also not hard to learn and teach. This game should see a lot of table in the new few weeks
I painted all the rooms except the 2 bathrooms and the kitchen. I took a week vacation to do it and I finished yesterday afternoon. I managed to play games late in the evening after the painting job.
And no I don’t take any more painting contract for a while 🙂
I do not know what the Kickstarter version have different or more but I’m happy with what I got. I would have definitely supported that game on Kickstarter
I just got back from a week in Florida for a tech conference. To while away the hours, we played Coup and Love Letter! Er, and, you know, learned things and participated in the conference. But Coup! And Love Letter!
Absolutely no gaming this weekend as I had to live the other side of Hai-life with Wizard World 2015 in town. General jumping about in the world of comics, television, and pop culture and waving at The Arrow hijinks ensued.
Then the standard tub soak with lye soap and a hydrochloric acid body splash to combat Con Crud. Calgon vs Comcon – we’ll see who comes out on top.
Hope all had a happy gaming weekend!
@Lone Token What’s your thought on Forge War? That is a passed on Kickstarter I think The Boy (and thereby me in the aftermath) might regret. And 12 games played??? How much house got painted?
Did’nt played every thing I planned but still a good gaming weekend considering NHL playoffs and painting the house
– Legendary Encounter(5x)
– Forge Wars (3x)
– Dungeon Quest (4x)
I managed to get a group together last night for some Bang!-The Dice Game, Shadows Over Camelot and Stone Age. Already a solid Saturday but on top of that, I got to meet Wil Wheaton at Ottawa Comic Con! We chatted for a few minutes about games. It was a great experience!
Today is going to be spent with all the mothers in my life. Happy Mother’s day to all you gaming moms out there! Have a great day! 🙂
I was finally able to have a gaming event at my place!! Two of us played my new game Justice League Dice Masters, then 5 of us played a long game of Legendary Encounters, then Sheriff of Nottingham and four of us made it to a game of King of Tokyo.
After finally remembering all the rules to descent and playing a game minus problems, we are off to some great campaigning. One all between overlord and heroes so far.
Just had someone cancel for tonight, so not sure what we’ll be playing. Haven’t had much time the past few weekends to play, so I’m hoping to fit some in this weekend.
Believe it or not, I’m actually NOT going to play Mice and Mystics this weekend! Instead, I’ll be playing Forbidden Island, Pandemic (another one of my fave’s), and will be picking up Love Letter Batman and Tiny Epic Defenders. I hope to entice some friends to play along. Of course, if there’s still time, I’ll probably add Gravwell to the mix.
@Inmarg LOL Nice 🙂

Yesterday had light game evening with friends.
Evening consisted of following:
Elder Sign
The Resistance
Five Tribes
Ca$h ‘n Guns
I have got in some Battle Wizards and Say Anything.

Really hoping to get Pandemic, DungeonQuest, Fortune and Glory: The Cliffhanger Game, maybe A Touch of Evil out and out onto the table this weekend.
My friend picked up Battlestar, Netrunner and Dominion. Planning on playing at least two of the three.
Just had someone cancel for tonight, so not sure what we’ll be playing. Haven’t had much time the past few weekends to play, so I’m hoping to fit some in this weekend.
I’m hoping to put my new Xenoshyft Onslaught on the table!

Coloretto, Targi, and Castle Panic for me.
Imperial Assault (skirmish). Hopefully at least two scenarios.
