Last night I saw the Avengers movie and absolutely loved it! It’s not often you go to a movie in the theater that gets everyone in the audience laughing and clapping! Having seen all the other movies leading up to it also made it very epic.
We’ve got a game night planned for Saturday. We’ll probably play some lighter games, or The Resistance if enough people show up.
What will you be playing this weekend?

I got in 3 games of SmallWorld. Rampaging Amazons for the win!
Played the hills of Emyn Muil a couple times over the weekend with my brother, otherwise it was a very uneventful gaming weekend. 🙁
I learned how to play Smallworld this weekend. Its a great game. I can’t wait to play it again.
My weekend was filled w/ Tsuro, Epic Spell Wars…, Martian Dice, and a game my brother-in-law made called Forgone Conclusions (math wizardry).
I didn’t & didn’t expect to get any gaming in over this weekend, but as it looks like a trip to Ostend will be an annual feature: Can anyone recommend a short playing game with a Belgian connection? I love to have games with a local flavour.
Unfortunally was Mother´s Day here in Brazil, I´m not sure how this holiday works in other countries…. so I wasn´t able to play any games.
This week I´m planning to play some euro games with a friend and hopefully a Twilight Struggle match with my father since he´s on vacation!
Slightly different to what was expected, we had a nice family game of Carcassonne (which was the first time the wife had played it). The wife then dug out her old Mythos CCG decks, so we had a go at that (this was a new one to me, as it happens). And to round off the weekend, we had a quick round of Guillotine as an alternative to watching TV. Not a bad result for a non-gaming weekend.
We got in two games of Lords of Waterdeep and one game each of Puerto Rico and Dungeon Lords. Two of the players were new to Dungeon Lords, so we could have played another complete game of LoW in the time it took to teach the game, but it was good to get in our first game of it without the dummy player.
Got in a couple games of Lords of Waterdeep, as well as played some Elder Sign.
I ended up playing a (modified) game of Star Wars Miniatures with my son and daughter today, which was lots of fun. My daughter is 5, so playing with her includes every female mini we own, miraculous evacuations right before the hero dies, and various other misses at point-bland range (like Greedo). My 10 year-old son is a good sport about it, so we enjoyed the opportunity to include her in the game. 🙂
Got some new games in on trade this week, and was able to get one of them: Quarriors to the table tonight along with Pergamon and Martian Dice. I was able to get in a solo game of Space Hulk: Death Angel this weekend as well.
We’ll be playing Fauna and King of Tokyo for Mother’s Day. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there that work so hard at their jobs, at home, and raising the kids. You do it all and deserve more than just one day a year for sure.
Finished our current game of Axis & Allies 50th Anniversary Edition tonight, after three seperate sittings and going to round 9. A very satisfying game!
More games for you to add.
I played 20th Century and also Lemonade Stand last night.
I taught a few people Dominion last night. Later tonight Im sure we’ll play a few two player games with the gf.
I played two games of Summoner Wars last night along with a solo game of Yggdrasil. Lots of family events this weekend, so that may be all the gaming I can get. 🙁
Having got hold of a copy of Castle Panic this week, I’m hoping that will fill a family gaming slot for us. Loot seems to invariably crop up at some time each weekend, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we have a go at that too.
Paintball with my brother in the morning, maybe some Axis and Allies in the evening.
My copy of Omen 2nd edition from the Kickstarter should be showing up this weekend, so I’ll be trying to get that to the table. I’d also love to give Lords of Waterdeep a spin as I just bought it.
Bringing Eminent Domain, Eaten by Zombies and Flash Point: Fire Rescue to our mini gaming night.
