It has been a crazy busy week for us, but we did manage to get in some Lord of the Rings: The Card Game. We played the final quest in the Khazad-dûm expansion and it was intense. We managed to survive somehow, and had a great time as usual!
What will you be playing this weekend?
Unsurprisingly we didn’t get to play much, *but* I was gobsmacked that my daughter played Dominion with me and really enjoyed it. We took it down to just five piles of kingdom cards to keep it simpler for her, and only had five in each pile, but that was about it. We’ll definitely be doing that again.
Well, I rounded out the weekend with several games of Zombie Dice (note to self: do not play this more than, say, two times in a row), a game of Forbidden Island, and a game of Kingdom Builder.
Played LOTR:LCG on saturday, Watcher in the Water killed us yet again…
HAHA! I Get to play games tonight! No clue what I’ll be playing though.
I played Wilderness War. I also picked up the reprint of Eclipse and played that as well.
The middle of the week I played Atlantic Storm, Santa Fe Rails, 1989: The Dawn of Freedom, Vegas Showdown, and Stone Age.
Found out the kids are getting me Memoir ’44 for Father’s Day, so Sunday will be jam packed with gaming.
Sadly, nothing. I had to work one day and spent the day before posting reviews for Free RPG Day. And I am going to spend my free day starting work on an RPG supplement that I have just been given to edit.
I played two games of Labyrinth: The War on Terror yesterday evening (fantastic game…even solo) and two games of Ghost Stories today. Plan on breaking Labyrinth back out…or might defer to Age of Empires or Dominion to finish out the weekend. Have Race for the Galaxy plus one expansion shipping to me on Monday, as well as 51st State, so I need to wrap up the “want to play” list before I dive into another game.
Last night I got in a game of Commander-format Magic…over Skype. It actually worked remarkably well once we figured out how to handle things like auras and creature/item theft (I was the odd-player out, connected remotely).
I’m hoping to get in several other games this weekend, but I don’t know what is likely to happen at present.
I have been able to get in games of Dominion, Lords of Waterdeep, Last Will and Summoner Wars so far, and I should be able to get in games of Eclipse and Chaos in the Old World today.
We’ve played The Boss, King of Tokyo, Letters From White Chapel, and Adios Amigos so far. Hopefully, we’ll get in some Lords of Waterdeep and Blood Bowl TM tomorrow. We’ll see. I’m wanting to play some more Eclipse… but you need a good chunk of time for that.
Mage Knight! Love that game. Also several of the 10 days in XXX series with my wife (she wins every %$#@! time).
Hopefully I won’t get drawn into playing Conquest: Medieval Realms (iOS) too much — it’s fun, but a real time waster and I seem to never lose.
Plus Sunday is Father’s Day so I get to choose, so I’ll try for some Rattus and maybe try Core Worlds if I’m lucky.
Weekend started early, playing King Phillips War…
I was planning on playing Elder Sign and Haggis this weekend, but do to a shipping error they won’t be here until next week. Oh well, I’ll just have to play something else.
Just a reminder to everyone, this weekend, Saturday June 16th is Free RPG Day! So hit your local game stores, demo some new games and support gaming!! 🙂
I plan to rock some Lords of Waterdeep tonight… and maybe some Epic Spell Wars …fyre w/ my brother-in-law on Sunday night.
The week-end started early for me. I played a close game of Pamdemic with my son and the in-laws yesterday, along with a game of Gears of War with my son last night.
Now we’re packing for the beach, where I hope to play (over the next week) Ticket to Ride, Zombie Dice, more Pandemic (or Forbidden Island), Last Night on Earth (of course!), Survive, and maybe even The Resistance. Those are the games I’m bringing, anyway.
And I’m pretty sure I’ll be getting a copy of Flashpoint: Fire Rescue for Father’s Day, so maybe we can get that one in as well. 🙂
Ascension,Lords of Waterdeep and a miscellaneous selection.
My group is being lame and it appears that I will not be doing anything this weekend.
We’re going away to a wedding this weekend, so I don’t expect there’ll be much gaming. However, we’ll take some small, portable games along, just in case. This will certainly include our print & play Goblins Drool, Fairies Rule, which is going down well at the moment while we await the real version.
