We’ve got a game night planned for tonight, though we haven’t decided if we want to break out a big game or play a bunch of lighter titles. There is just something nice after you’ve dug through 30 page rulebook after 40 page rule book to sit back a play a light game that take little to no brain power 🙂
Well, this weekend ended up being Pathfinder, Star Wars RP, and three games of Pandemic (we lost every time). Might still get in a game or two of Magic on Monday, but no guarantees. All in all a very fun weekend.
I will have to wait until Monday before I can play when I am hoping for Puerto Rico.
Played two games of Last Night on Earth today with my son (our first time) and had a blast. My son wants the whole family to play Star Wars Monopoly tomorrow (at least it’s Star Wars, right? :)), and I also hope to try a solo game of Thunderstone Advance before the weekend is done.
The weekend is starting well with some Galaxy Trucker and Takenoko. Still looking to get more Antiquity in.
Just got done playing custom D&D adventure with my kids. Will probabaly play some Quarriors and one of our monopoly games tomorrow.
So far this weekend, I’ve played three sessions of _Neue Heimat_ and a few games of _Tumblin’ Dice_. Perhaps tonight we’ll try _Power Grid_ with the _Robots_ expansion…
I played a 2 and 3 player game of Eminent Domain last night. Will probably play some more EmDo with my wife, maybe some Lords of Waterdeep, and possible teach her Pandemic.
Last night I played Ra, Belfort, and Agricola. Belfort was an interesting worker placement game that had options that would seem to change the game from play to play to keep it fresh.
Wednesday I played Alien Frontiers and Innovation, both for the first time. Do not play Alien Frontiers with anyone who suffers from AP. 3 players averages turns of 2-3 minutes the other 8-10 minutes. 2 of the 3 were new to the game and the other had played once. The AP person had played multiple times. Innovation is described as love it or hate it. It was OK, possibly better once you know the cards. I don’t see why the strong reaction to this game.
Tuesday I played Race for the Galaxy, Kingsburg, and Category 5.
Have friends from Germany in town who don’t like boardgames, but only really know about the ****** ones. So gotta go buy another copy of 7 Wonders and plan to show them the better side of boardgames.
Maybe some L5R CCG at the local gamestore and then some Nature of the Beast CCG with the wife later that evening.
Just finish playing Yggdrasil, that we won! and Ticket to Ride Nordic Countries, which I lost big time. Fun, though! 😀
Likely playtesting Darkest Night for hero balance.
wow millhouse, pretty elaborate – congratulations
Playing with my buddies tomorrow: Lords of Waterdeep (lst play), Thunderstone Advance, and probably Innovation.
Going to my brother’s house to help with the yard work, then it’s Tsuro, Battle of the Bands and To Court The King…I’m gonna spring Hive on ’em after that…MMMAAAHAHAHA!!!! 🙂
Playing a couple of games of Ninjato tonight…think maybe some Age of Empires/Age of Discovery and Cosmic Encounter tomorrow night.
This evening I’ve got a Pathfinder session going, and tomorrow afternoon I have a Star Wars RP session. Aside from that I’m hoping to play a couple games of Magic and (if I can swing it) some Settlers or Dominion. We’ll see what ends up happening.
Hoping to get in a few games of SmallWorld.
The same thing I do every games night, Pinky, Chaos in the Old World 🙂 Some Arkham Horror, too, perhaps.
So last week I told you guys I was asking my girlfriend to marry me. Good news, she said yes. It was quite the ordeal. Check it out below.
