The Walking Dead Board Game is fast paced zombie-game about survival. Cryptozoic’s game appeals to a wider audience than other zombie-games. Its light mechanics and connection to a mega popular tv series make it the kind of game that will bring new gamers to table.
The mechanics are fairly straight forward but it is not easy to survive. Newbie gamers will certainly have fun and fans of the series should definitely check this game out.
Please be aware this game might not be suitable for all gamers. The game contains graphic and gory images from The Walking Dead TV series on AMC.
To bad this game was a let down, it cold have been so good.
@Gil My thoughts precisely. I am huge TWD fan (graphic novels, novels, and TV-series), but this game simply isn’t worth your while.
Simple and fun game. Great to play in the late afternoon or before a game more “heavy” in the rules.
I was wondering about this one. Thanks for the info.
Boring game with silly rules and mechanics… Huge fan of TWD series…it was so disappointing, my expectations was so high!
I really, really love the show so why no Daryl Dixon playable character? His crossbow is in the Scrounge deck. Lame.
I looked into this game and was not too impressed. Another poster mentioned that Flying Frog would have made a good version and I wholeheartedly agree. A zombie based board game without zombie minis is not really screaming good time. With so many other zombie based board games out there already, Last Night on Earth and Zombies!!! are just two I can think of off the top of my head, I will be passing this one by.
This game sold out at Wondercon (a large comic convention and sibling of San Diego Comic Con).
It could be said that this game is a non-euro gateway game.
It looks as simple and silly as Talisman.
I find both Walking Dead games to be disappointing. I love the comics and TV show… I wish Flying Frog would have created a version. I think they could have done a great job. Maybe they will someday.
Big fan of the show. Cant wait to see what happens next. Appreciate your review. A roll and move game does sound a little boring, but I love theme & I love this show. I think it could work for me.
