@Elida
It’s a great feature, isn’t it!
This is so much fun! I get to read about games I might not have known about if they weren`t linked to these quests. That`s a good thing, my world has been expanded exponentially
I love these exploration quests! I learn about some games that I wouldn’t have looked twice at.
And as bonus I get to satisfy the old craving from Baldur’s Gate to remove all the fog of war…
If you already logged plays for a game before exploring it, shouldn’t that count as a play? It works this way with reviewing.
Also, I would like to see a way to remove plays. I accidentally logged two plays for a game I only played once and now it is going to bug me.
Some comments in response to your comments…
Down the road we plan on creating game guides, like a cooperative game guide, or family game guide, and the games listed in those guides would always be available to explore (we’ll probably reach out to our community via a news article to take a poll and get opinions about what games should be a part of a specific guide). For now, each month a new set of games will be unlocked to explore, and can be explored during that month.
We like the idea of secretly explorable games, having said that, there currently aren’t any secretly unlocked games at the moment 🙂
I’ve added the drakkenstrike video review to the Resident Evil Deck Building Game page so you can view that and get credit towards exploration.
@Granny I agree, even if people blabbed about the secret explorable games, it would be a community-wide search that would be fun.
BTW: Why no videos for Resident Evil Deck Building Game? There are several good ones. for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYhGD0wlbzQ and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lA9sV74QYfA.
I like the videos and find they really help give me a good feel for the games. I even watch them all the way through!
I am glad the tips are there. When I play a new game I like to play 2 or 3 times to make sure I didn’t miss anything(and with different players each time). The tips help me find the underlying strategies quicker. Although I would like to see maybe 2 tips as a couple of my family members did not start last month’s choices soon enough and so were never able to complete the uncharted exploration as it never had enough reviews after the tips were decreased from 3 to 1.
Hurrah! More games to explore.
Now where did I put that pith helmet?
I think this is a great mechanism. I do think you should add a few and not tell us where they are…
… I say this knowing full well it will be torture for a completest like me, but it would force even more exploration…. “Hey, I didn’t know they added this game.”
… have you added some to games without telling us? Dohhhh!!!
I sure am enjoying these, a great way to discover new games – thank you!
I’m glad you reduced the “tips” limit to 1, as I really don’t know if a tip is useful, obvious or whatever while I am just exploring the game (though a really thorough reading of the rulebook may help me). Perhaps tips should even be taken out of the equation entirely?
Nice update to the quest. Enjoying the exploration. Thanks!
How long will games remain explorable? Is this something that will remain forever? Or eventually will they no longer be explorable?
Woo hoo, more games to explore, fantastic!
