Prepped for Ra and Tash-Kalar; however, we played World of Tanks and Love Letter instead. Oh well, next week! 🙂

I have a lot of new games slated, but I think the ones that will be played for sure are Tragedy Looper and Black Fleet. I’d like to start playing Shadowrun Crossfire, but I think I need to put together a regular group to get the most out of it. A small group of us are going to be playing Nothing Personal tomorrow night. I haven’t played that in awhile…you need the right group for that game as well. Hopefully, we’ll all still be friends.

In my search for more social games, I’ve purchased Blood Bound. It looks a little like a quick Resistance style game. My hope is it can sit alongside One Night as another 10 minute filler to start or end game day.

BTW I agree with Hai about Flying Frog Productions in general. If you like one of their games, you’ll probably at least enjoy the others…if not love. They are all campy fun. Conquest of Planet Earth and Invasion from Outer Space are definitely more on the humorous side, but still have that pulp feel to them. I think Conquest is my favorite due to its various modes of play.

Interesting Note: I’m pretty sure Flying Frog changed the last bit of their name at some time in the past from “Games” to “Productions.” Could it be because their old initials were FFG? Does anyone else remember Flying Frog when they first came out?

@Obi Personally I think if you enjoy Fortune and Glory you would like Touch of Evil. It has a lot of the aspects of Fortune and Glory. Increasing your characters through items and stat boosts, encountering various threats at locations, and various Big Bads (like the Evil Organizations) constantly creating chaos and danger. While FanG is more global like Eldritch Horror, Touch of Evil is more tense and claustrophobic as you are limited to a village and the outskirts (A Talisman-like board). The Big Evil isn’t causing trouble in the Amazon while you hunt the Catacombs of Paris for an artefact. It is sending minions to surround the Ye Olde Blacksmith two spaces away – just the place you needed to go to find that pistol to help you survive. Basically take all the adventuring aspects of Fortune and Glory and add all the tense horror of building impending doom from Arkham/Eldritch Horror

I'm a Player!

Just finished a 3 player 3+ hr full version of Le Havre last night, which my brother in law that’d only ever played monopoly beat us bad, looking forward to some Castles Of Burgundy + Lewis & Clark with the s.o. and some Resistance: Avalon with this young crowd I’m new to tomorrow… And maybe I’ll be teaching my brother in law some Mage Knight or at least Ghost Stories!

I got to try Heroes Wanted today. The first mission, solo, to try out the rules. Very simple rules, but not easy to decide what to use anyways… All in all a fun play through.

Going to have some family over so it’s something social – either Resistance or Mascarade.

Not much gaming this weekend – last weekend of summer is clean the house top to bottom weekend. I’ll be down in the basement, but the only cardboard I’ll be dealing with is boxes.

Might mess around with Pathfinder ACG: Skullcles some to find a character to campaign with in the coming weeks and practice ‘boat juggling’ skills.

I will spend Sunday Morning staring at the Shadows of Brimstone Pledge Manager and wishing my plasma would turn to gold. That will be a game I will definitely lose.

Wastelands 2, a PC game, released today and I plan on spending some time with it.

That said, I’ve already played FRIDAY and PATHFINDER ACG this evening and plan on getting some Thunderstone Advance squeezed in there. I had planned on getting Runebound or Mage Knight on the table, but Wastelands 2 might get my attention 🙂

Working all day today and tomorrow. Able to get in Kingsburg to Forge a Relam. You need to have this expansion if you own the game. The amount of depth it gives and replay ability is incredible . You can add characters, change guilds, have event cards…..play them all or one or two of the modules. That is the beauty of this expansion. It gives you the control over the complexity of the game. There is so much going on you have to keep thinking even when it is not your turn. Not much down time in between rolls either . It’s my top five game.

Finally, a weekend at home. Unfortunately, no game group, but we will get Dead of Winter out tonight and hopefully at least one other time and maybe Eldritch Horror.

I will be playing no games this weekend as I’m working, but as of mid next week (when I get home from overseas) I’ll be indulging in King of Tokyo, Terry Pratchett’s Ankh-Morpork and eventually Mage Knight! These are all new games to me which I’ve ordered for my arrival back home. Lots to do : )

Carcassonne and Doomtown both seem inevitable at this point.

I like your gaming plan…Fortune and glory is one of my favorite game(solo and with others) and Touch of evil is on my wish list. How is Touch of Evil compared to Fortune and Glory

My wife and I have a game of Battle Cry 150th Anniversary Edition set up. We’ll also probably get in at least one game of Zombie Dice, Timeline, maybe Pandemic, Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, Once Upon A Time or Star Trek Attack Wing.

We will also get in Role Playing, Castle Falkenstein, Serenity or Pathfinder.

Unfortunately, no games scheduled for the weekend. But I hope to find a little time to play 1 or 2 solo games
