This weekend we’ll be trying out some Legend of the Five Rings – Embers of War by AEG, as well as Forlorn: Hope, a game by Victory Point Games. We’re very intrigued by the different approach Victory Point Games takes with their games and look forward to seeing how Forlorn: Hope plays.

Next weekend is UK Games Expo, the country’s largest gaming convention here in Birmingham. So lots and lots of games to play!

Returning from vacation in Mexico…. so lots of iPad gaming on the plane. I’m finally getting the hang of Nightfall — not bad.
At a friend’s birthday party we had an interesting group, Pow Wow, Skull and Roses, Uluru, King of Tokyo and Galaxy Trucker. Overall, it was a great night!
This week its Smallworld! I just discovered the game, and its awesome. I”m hoping to try out my Ticket to Ride: Switzerland with my wife, and I’m sure my son will pull out Phase 10 for Kids or Sequence for Kids. Which, if anyone is trying to introduce their kids to a game that requires just a little decision making, Sequence is a good choice. Fun stuff.
Getting together with the boys for some Rage CCG, Attack! and perhaps some Battle Cry.
I will be playing games with my 5 year old this weekend. So, it’ll be a lot of King of Tokyo, Takenoko, and Carcassonne. He likes Heroscape as well.
Going to play the first game/character creating of some D&D/Song of Ice and Fire hybrid in a few moments. Also hoping to get several games of BattleLore in this weekend. Possibly squeeze in some time to attempt to find the rest of the BattleLore expansions and watch my wallet shrink.
I’ve just got hold of a copy of Dominion, which I have never played (what hole have I been hiding in for the last couple of years?!), so I’m all excited and looking forward to having a game or two of that over the weekend. Other than that it looks like we’ll probably be having a play with the old Mythos and 7th Sea CCGs which have been mouldering in the cupboard for ages. We’ll see what else…
AAAWWWWWWW Snap! Its going to be a gaming weekend for Millhouse. Tonight Im getting my Heroscape game back from an old friend. Then Im heading over to the shop for a night of gaming. Then Saturday night I hope to introduce Heroscape to a few of the guys back at the house.
