We just played through our first round of Ninja: Legend of the Scorpion Clan last night and will hopefully get in some more rounds to get a better feel for it. The hidden play mechanic is quite different than anything we’ve played before, though we’ve heard Nuns on the Run is quite fun.
What games will you be playing?
People have such fun reasons for playing games. Makes me think about what to try next!
I’m hoping to play some Ticket to Ride: India this weekend. Maybe some Dominion too. I know, I play some pretty obscure games…
I will be playing some Summoner Wars with my son, Alien Frontiers (watch for my upcoming review!), and *hopefully a game of Earth Reborn. Hoping to get my hands on Lords of Waterdeep and Civilization: The board game.
P.S. Anybody in the Denver area?
I´am intend to play Princess of Florence on Thursday and I hope to play some other game this weekend. Not sure what…
Wound up playing Castle Ravenloft: The Board Game. Really had a good time playing the game and look forward to taking a few more cracks at it and then writing up a review. Oh, played some Guiloteen at 12 midnight on Saturday too. Nothing like seeing Robespierre and the Scarlet Purplenurple show up just about every frigin day! (at least it felt like that)
This weekend was kinda special to me. My gaming community just held a special meetup cause of the holiday. I played Die Macher (absolutely awesome) with 5 players and Ark.
The next day I played Epic Spell Wars for the first time.
I have played Wok Stars, Pitchcar, Telestration, Zak Pak and Bonanza this weekend!! Happy dudess!! 😀
I think I’ll be spending the remainder of this weekend building prototypes. Maybe some Dixit if we have guests tonight.
Travelling this weekend so probably some Monopoly Card Game or good ol’ 52-card variants with my wife.
Not sure what I’ll be playing. I did play some Agricola last night, but I have company over and they’ll probably pick what to play.
I want to play more Alien Frontiers. I’ll have to teach my wife so the whole family can play.
(sniff, sniff)… nothing…
… (sniff)
BWAAAAAAhahaaaaaaahhh (sob)
Got a really good game of Lord of the Rings LCG in tonight. I’m meeting some friends at the local coffee shop tomorrow (since the wife is out of town), so who knows what we’ll play! I might break the A Game of Thrones LCG out and see if anyone wants to try. If not, and depending on who shows up, I might just break out 1960: The Making of a President.
Middle Earth Quest. Trying to learn the game with a fellow gamer, but man, can this game be tedious.
Ah, man! I completely forgot GameStorm was this weekend. I’ll stop by if I can make it, but I already made plans. I will be playing some Takenoko and Dice Town with the family for sure.
BTW Letters from Whitechapel is my favorite hidden movement game.
I’ll be running some Pathfinder at GameStorm this weekend in Vancouver, WA. Apparently, there will be, like, a storm of games.
If you end up going, make sure and take a peek at Story Realms and Escapade Games!
Hopefully tigris & euphrates, steam, or merchants & marauders, but maybe race for the galaxy. Nothing revolutionary, but it can’t always be so.
Me and a friend are hoping to get some time to build a deck building game. And if I can get all my moving done early tomorrow I will probably doing a chaos draft.
Hoping to finally try Summoner Wars this weekend, and possibly grab Lords of Waterdeep.
Taking on the role of a hippie in a Murder Mystery and hoping I don’t turn out to be a murderer (again).
Nuns on the Run can be really enjoyable and plays well with a lot of people. The rules are a little involved for people new to gaming, especially as you have to understand all of the rules to make sure you’re not inadvertently cheating (with the secret move mechanic, no one can check to make sure you have good grasp of the rules). Does Ninja:… have a similar problem?
