Having friends over tonight for some gaming fun. Will have to cooperate as we will try to save the world in Pandemic and then celebrate our success with Hanabi.
Played a really long game of King of Tokyo Saturday night (90 mins). I squeaked the victory out by rolling 5 pts on the first roll to put me at 20. Our monsters we’re getting quite powerful.
Kids played some more KoT later along with Love Letter.
I finally found an OP Dice Masters event within a reasonable driving distance, so I played 5 games of Marvel Dice Masters on Saturday and picked up the participation action card and one of the comepetitive character card prizes!
Friday night: Experimented with two new fighters in BattleCon:Devastation and received a bum handing from Le Boy 🙁
Saturday night: With a smug smile not wiped from his face, The Boy did some grilling and we had friends over for an episode of our Last Night on Earth:Season One campaign. Bloody Escape in the Truck! Jake Cartwright went down under a horde searching for the keys and Team Zombie picked up a win, a future Zombie Hero, and enough campaign experience to unlock Grave Weapons. Grim times.
Sunday: Just lazing about and traded cardboard for paperbacks. 🙂
We tee’d up for a game of Pandemic with the extended family this afternoon. We lost due to outbreak 1 turn before we were able to cure our last disease. Oh the wonderful gaming tension of Pandemic!!!
Yesterday was RPG Day and the Boardgame Meetup at my FLGS, so I got in some Havok & Hijinks with my friend, along with Coup. I picked up Splendor on a recommendation and I loved it!
My group successfully defeated the game for the very first time in a round of Ghost Stories last night!
This was following an unexpected win by The Traitor in Shadows Over Camelot when a table of nine white swords and two black swords — a “sure victory” — was thwarted by an overwhelming number of catapults.
We also played Guillotine, which I liked a lot. Fun, fast, and super easy to learn.
Met some friends at a brewery and played ‘We Didn’t Playtest This’ all night – as always, loads of fun!
Also, it brought together a half dozen random people to join us, really embodies what games are all about 🙂
Last week my wife and I ordered Dice Town. Im really excited because it is a game I used to play long time ago and I really liked it. Hopefully I will have time enough to try it again since I have to work during the weekend.
Sir Gamesalot. I look forward for taking it on a test run. My daughters have just caught on to the superhero thing and I’m hoping this will catch with them. Wish I was up in Barrie for one of your killer game nights!
@provincialguardian, you really can’t go wrong with SotM, so long as you have people interested in playing it and figure out the little quirks. It can be really addictive, trying to get all of the heroes and villains played.
No agenda for games this weekend. It will be a weekend with work, work, and more work. If we get lucky, a few games (Jaipur, Dragon’s Hoard, or SotM) might get played. I certainly hope so.

I’m a little late, but on vacation this weekend & the next week!
I hope to play a TON of games including:
Eldritch Horror
Lords of Vegas
Core Worlds
Forbidden Desert
Among the Stars
And anything else the other people bring!

Looking forward to playing a few games of Pandemic (w/On the Brink), Star Wars: X Wing, DungeonQuest, and maybe something else if I have time.

Another busy weekend of yard work, watching kids, and finishing up a online course, so I might squeeze some Love Letter in hopefully.
I just want to play something, anything. I’ve been in a bad dry spell.

I picked up Wizard’s Castle for Castle Panic today, so will give that a go.
Picked up Gloom and New World: A Carcassonne Game last weekend so will be learning those this weekend.
Just got Blue Moon: Legends so will be getting that to table.
