We had a mini con among all of our gaming group. We stayed at our one friends house and played three tables of games Friday – Sunday. We did Dead of Winter Twice, Sons of Anarchy, Robinson Crusoe, 7 Wonders, Mascarade, Smash Up, Robo Rally, Pathfinders the Card Game, Botswanna, Zombie Dice, pandemic the cure, ticket to ride the card game, waterworks, Lords of Waterdeep, Revolution & cards against humanity. Can’t believe how fast the time went.
I can’t stop my son from playing Uncanny Dicemasters. We also played Harbour, Colt Express, Mille Bornes, and Fairy Tale. I really like Harbour and hope to type up a review soon.
Played some Fallen this weekend, then a round of Mr. Jack, Five Tribes, Small World and Uno to finish off the weekend. Great gaming weekend overall, got to play some of my favorite games.
For anyone interested Cool Stuff Inc is holding a President’s Day Sale this week with some nice discounts on new releases like X-files, Escape:Zombie City, and Orcs,Orcs, Orcs among others and some extreme discounts on other games that might be worth a look and a gamble.
Well Winter Storm Neptune squashed my plans of going to Boston this weekend by being a complete Uranus and snow squalls created a reverse snow globe effect in driving after a nostalgic diner dinner. Far more white was the theme of a weekend normally devoted to pinks and reds.
Gaming wise things were fairly level devoting most of the weekend to hot chocolate and Level 99. Played several rounds of Battlecon:War/Devestation and enjoyed much two player exploration of Argent: The Consortium topped with having another couple over Sunday to enjoy taco night and treachery in the halls of the Universitum Magicke.
I’m new to splashing in the waters of Worker Placement but thoroughly enjoy the complexity and depth of Argent and am itching to pen a rebuttal against some rather dicey comments on video reviews I have come across.
No gaming except a little soloing of Pathfinder:RotR on Friday. On a little buying spree though picking up about 15 games with Dead of Winter finally arriving in Norway. Still got a few games I’d like to pick up but after that I need to take a buying brake (this was in addition to receiving 9 games on an order a friend of mine placed at CSI)..
Played “Legendary Encounters: Alien” the second time with my 7-year old grandson and we won! Throughout it all, my grandson was bouncing up an down, spinning, and walking back and forth, back and forth. Considering that we had our butts handed to us during our first play through, we were very happy to launch the alien out through the airlock at the end. It was a fun, memorable game.
This was a full day yesterday of gaming- 3 games of Splendor, 1 each of Kombat Kittens, Le Havre, Harbour, Lords of Waterseep and Flapjacks and Sasquatches. Fortunately for me my wife wanted to avoid Valentine’s Day crowds and so while I was prepared to do other things we ended up having a heavy day of gameplaying.
Had a very awesome Valentines Day playing games with hubby and friends at the game shop. Managed to get in some Imperial Assault, Eldritch Horror, and Coup.
No game groups because of Valentines day but hoping to get some good gaming done with my wife. Hopefully Belfort will see a few playthroughs and maybe some Forbidden Desert as well.
We found a copy of Patchwork at our FLGS and ohmygoodness what a cute game! I really enjoy trying to make the best quilt. Such a great addition to our 2-player options 🙂
@LoneToken is right…cold days are meant for games. And since my wife told me that Takenoko has recently become her favorite game, I think there will be a lot of that on tap. There will also be 7 Wonders along with my all time favorite game, which sadly does not have a page on this website – Crokinole. There will be lots of that!
Have fun everyone! Make sure to tell your sweetheart how much he/she means to you!
With this weekend being a long weekend we are going to get tons of gamimg in! Tonight we played Suburbia, Thunderstone and One Night Ultimate Werewolf: Daybreak! With tomorrow being V Day I’m sure we will play some two player games like Netrunner. Monday we are having an all day gaming session with some friends that will definitely include Dead of Winter!
@anm – When we go camping we like to bring Zombie Dice, Love Letter and Fluxx. Also don’t forget about the great apps out there if you have a device of some sort. The Lords of Waterdeep and Ticket to Ride apps are fantastic!
Looking forward to playing some Pandemic, Zombicide, Fortune and Glory: The Cliffhanger Game, and possibly a game of All Thing Zombie: Final Fade Out this weekend.
I played about a dozen rounds of Coloretto. It is quickly becoming a new favorite.
Played some Carcassonne, and PACG S&S. My soon asked about playing legendary, but it is currently in storage :/

Introduced my wife to a game of Mice & Mystics after Valentines Day dinner – HUGE success!
Played BattleCon: Devastation of Indines this evening. Looking forward to some Shadows Over Camelot, King of New York and Skull and Roses tomorrow!
@Account Deletion and Game Ninja- thanks for the suggestions! I’ll give them a look!
