Happy Holidays!
This time of year can be quite busy with all of the holiday festivities. The benefit is it also means spending plenty of time with family and friends! Board games are the perfect solution to bring family and friends together and spend quality time creating fun and lasting memories!
What are you playing this weekend?
Christmas…
Magic, Magic and more Magic.
Played Kingdom Builder. Eminently underwhelmed. Will try again with more than two, but not feeling confident.
We’ve been playing a lot of classic card games with the extended family. Great fun, but it is time for some board games now.
Played Troyes, 7 Wonders with all expansions, Resistance Avalon twice, Courtier, and Arkham Horror with Dunwich. Hoping to get at least a 2-player game in of Noblemen today.
We are playing Pandemic, which was an early present from my in-laws.
Pre Christmas Killer Bunnies tournament went down!
Game day today with a BGGer from Georgia in our area. He asked for a game day and our group was more than happy to oblige. Not sure what will be played, but X-Wing, Arkham Horror, Eclipse, Dungeon Fighter, Puerto Rico, Libertalia, Courtier and many others will be in attendance so SOMETHING will be played!
Merry Christmas!
We’ve played a couple rounds of Smash-Up. Alien zombies ravaged the dinosaur ninjas, to no one’s surprise, but the ninja zombies were surprisingly agile and took out the pirate robots.
My husband got me a copy of Mansions of Madness. It doesn’t seem like a game his family would enjoy, so we’ll wait until we get home to play it. I also picked up a copy of the second Cards Against Humanity expansion for him, and we’ll bring it to New Year’s.
There’s a possibility of Ticket to Ride later.
had a holiday themed game night. We all created our own cards for “Grinch”, a Christmas themed Werewolfe adventure. TONS of fun!
Also played Fleet, Cargo Noir, Puerto Rico, Cards Against Humanity (with Christmas expansion), Hawaii, Las Vegas, Banagrams, Pinochle and much more this weekend. Overall, Las Vegas got consensus favorite game with the families at Christmas events. Very simple, yet fun!
Just a shout out to all: Merry Christmas!
The kids and I played Mice & Mystics, Defenders of the Realm and Love Letter
I haven`t got to play any games, but I just got Power Grid: First Sparks and 7 wonders Leaders. Maybe I will get to play one of those games at New Years gaming on Thursday! 😀
SMall world and hopefully a game i get from the fiance
I play in “Formula Motor Racing” Rainer Knizia 🙂
In addition to a healthy dose of Wii-U, we got in games of Ugg-Tect, Ca$h ‘n Guns, Time’s Up! Deluxe, and Coup, and we capped the night off with a game of Cards Against Humanity that included both expansions and the holiday pack. All in all, a good time!
So far, a few games of Netrunner and Star Wars:LCG, and single games of Space Cadets and Tahiti.
Was very surprised by Tahiti. There’s more game there than I first suspected.
So far I have played Takenoko, several games of Bluff, Kingsburg and Blockers. A light weekend.
My daughter and I played a marathon session of Cthulu Dice last night. I have reason to believe Kill Doctor Lucky will be under the tree Tuesday, so I am looking forward to that. I am hoping to get in a few games of Gulo Gulo and Zombie Dice. My daughter is getting Trophy Buck, so I am sure that will get played as well.
Merry Christmas all!
Got my game of Incan Gold in. Also surprised that my brother-in-law had Cards Against Humanity so I taught that to them too. Little embarrassing playing with my mom on that one!
