This weekend we’re planning to play Dead of Winter by Plaid Hat Games, Jupiter Rescue by Twilight Creations and Lost Legacy: The Starship by Alderac. It’s going to be epic!
Last night I hosted another game night at the house and we got in a handful of games (Sushi Go, Love Letter, No Thanks!, Smash Up, King of Tokyo: Power Up, & Forbidden Desert).
Tomorrow is our annual Yard Sale so probably not too many games played but Sunday and Monday I hope to get some people together. I still haven’t played Say Anything, Wits & Wagers or Resistance: Avalon so maybe I will get those on the table if the group is large enough.
I will be playing Memoir 44 D-Day Landings on Sunday. Before then, I will probably play Lords of Waterdeep with the expansion; scoundrels of Skullport. I didn’t like the expansion the first couple of times I played it. I played against a friend at a convention back in June, and he was able to complete three forty point quests to leave me in the dust. I felt that this many points was way too much for the about of cubes needed to get the points and complete the quest. But since playing it a few times, I like it a little better. No one in my gaming group has been able to complete three 40 point quest, although my wife did complete two, but I still won. We might get in a game of Settlers of Catan, as well, one of my wife’s favorites.
We played Lords of Waterdeep with the Skullport Expansion on Saturday
Sunday, my Memoir player came over and I lost at D-Day Landings as the Germans (typical of the Germans in this series)
Sunday my wife and I played another game of Lords of Waterdeep/Skullport with the Undermountain part of the expansion, which I lost.
Saturday I’ll be gaming with @Paladin and Co. No idea what’ll be hitting the table, but I’m looking forward to it!
Edit: We wound up playing Lords of Waterdeep (my first time, and it was a blast), King of Tokyo, Dixit: Journey, and three games of Resistance: Avalon. It was a great time all around.
