I guess our weekend already started because here I am posting this at 1am after an epic night of Myth! It’s not a game for everyone due to its large (sometimes frustrating) learning curve, but if you’re willing to put in the time, the reward is a game that will have you and your gaming group experiencing countless hours of epic adventuring.
Now to take a break from the rule book checking, cooperative playing and long game play times we’ll be playing Scalawag! over the weekend.
What are you playing this weekend?
@Smudge played Blueprint a few weeks back. Well worth getting to the table.
This week I just have three PnP games down in Cape Town with me:
Dig Down Dwarf: the dice game that launched in kickstarter last week. I’ve played three games, it’s a lot of fun.
Stop the germs: (files available on the geek) I’m so impressed with this little two player abstract. You really need to check it out.
The Royals: a free PnP at The Game Crafter. Another great game for fans of micros like Council of Verona.
All of these we’re super easy builds. BTW. If you do enjoy PnP there’s a new podcast some dude created called Printin and Playin that’s well worth a listen.
Hoping to get in some games of Netrunner with my cousin!
Taking a break after a 3-day research conference by learning Cyclades and maybe throw in Kemet or Bruges. The weather is perfect, so I’m also hoping for some disc golf.
Turned out to be a good Friday:
Timeline *2
Shadow Hunters *2
One night ultimate werewolf *3
Space Alert *4
I am hoping to play a few games this weekend.
Pandemic, DungeonQuest, Zombicide, Small World, and Talisman are a few that are on the list. Might not get them all, but hopefully a couple of them…or maybe something else?
We are going to play a few games of luckyloops,a realy fun little dice rolling game 🙂
Not much this weekend. Still recovering from a cold and a busy week. Maybe I’ll get some Ticket To Ride and Battleship in with the folks.
I am sure I will have some Dominion:Prosperity going on this weekend. My son bought the expansion last weekend and has been pulling it out to try out the new cards all week. I want get Blueprint to table also and give it a try. I just picked it up at a local store that had a sale on overstocked games.
Having seen Heroquest on the list now I think that’s high up the list for this weekend. We must try to get Firefly played again and it would be great to do some more Sentinels and Runeage.
@Hai… I have a sneaking suspicion @Andrew L cross-contaminated two of our most beloved properties…
I’d love to see BoardGaming.com get some attention at PAX! A booth or even a panel would be a lot of fun, I think.
@Paladin: Where do folks go for a good game ’round these parts? I’m in Marlborough at the moment, but I’m looking for apartments in and around Cambridge/Boston!
@Andrew L Summoner Wars:Vengeance?? …did I…did I…*toes crossed* did I hear you correctly????
@Paladin I tried to convince Area 1851 to stop by and drop off some Avatars long ago – no dice! (literally :P)
@Hai – Maybe I can sweet-talk the omniscient @Jim into having another cowboy avatar made, just to avoid paradoxes. He seems like the kind of guy that doesn’t want the Earth to explode.
@Paladin Have a grand PAXeeeescape weekend and be careful it is Mud Season in Maine
@Sir G Happy Birthday weekend! May the games flow like w*ne (so as not to get moderator zonked.) My birthday wish for you is a slightly different Chrono Ranger hat (maybe a nice black) so you don’t destroy the universe when you chat with @Paladin
Don’t have my hopes up this weekend either. More baseball.
My wife and I are going to be kid-free this weekend. So that means that we’re hitting Friday Night Magic tonight! We’ve also been jonesing to play some Netrunner. I’ll also be using some of the free time to assemble & paint miniatures for Warmachine, Hordes & Super Dungeon Explore.
Machi Koro! (Review coming!)
and Summoner Wars: Vengeance! (Review coming!)
and Happy Birthday Sir Gamesalot! Any birthday wishes?
Arkham Horror, maybe a little Love Letter and/or Monty Python Fluxx while on a Boy Scout leader training session. AH will have to stay at home while I’m out camping (kinda hard to ‘whip out’ AH while we sit around the camp fire).
