We got some great games for the holidays, so we’ll be learning and playing them. At the top of the list are: Relic Runners, Eldritch Horror, The Agents and the Shattered Timelines expansion for Sentinels of the Multiverse!
What are you playing this holiday weekend?
Got Dwarven Dig for $5 on amazon. Gonna play that and Smash Up. 🙂
Hosted the guys in my college-age Sunday School class. Introduced them to Animal upon Animal, Incan Gold, Tsuro, 7 Wonders, Avalon (though some had played before and others familiar with Mafia/Werewolf), and Slide 5 (6 Nimmit).
They really enjoyed the simple, yet intriguing play of Tsuro, and all loved 7 Wonders. One declared it his new favorite game.
Game night was this past weekend and we had another large turnout. We learned many new games including: Coup, Eldridge Horror, Rampage, & Viticulture + expansion. Also played Catan, Resistance, Werewolfe, Lords of Waterdeep, and more. Good end to the year!
Santa brought me City of Iron. I got to play it once, and really liked it. Now I need to play it again and again to really get into it and understand the game.
I want to play Coup, Qwirckle, Got Cutthroat Caverns, may take a bit to get that to the table. Zombie Munchkin.
I’ve been playing Touch of Evil so far, and plan on getting an Elder Sign game going. Touch of Evil was a blast, even if the Banshee did crush us horribly this go around (and in a conspicuous note, both Sophie and Lady Hanbrook were aligned with the Banshee… a villainous Ladies’ Night in Shadowbrook!)
Went to our friendly local game store to spend some holiday cash. Came home with Red Dragon Inn, Rampage, and Chrononauts.
All were played and are good fun, but for now, Rampage is the clear winner!
Played X-wing, Amerigo, and a partial game of P.I. Hosting the guys from our Sunday School class on Monday for more games.
Tons of stuff. We got 7 new board games (as a family collective — including a used copy of WAR OF THE RING FOR $35!!!), and of these we’ve learned and played 6 of them.
Smallworld, Sentinels of the Universe, Forbidden Desert, 7 Wonders, Ticket to Ride Europe, Once Upon a Time (why is this not on boardgaming.com).
Also, today’s shaping up to look like a good gaming day as well.
Played a little Dixit and Telestrations with the family.
Played Amerigo, Kemet and DC Deck Builder last night. Will get more in on Tuesday night.
Wits & Wagers Family, 7 Wonders, Coup, King of Tokyo and more if I can fit them in.
Family time so I think I’ll have to live with Carcassonne this weekend. Hope to get Pathfinder ACG adventure 3 next week. I’ll therefore try to play the last 5 characters through Skinsaw Murders.
We got so many great new games I’m looking forward to playing: SOTM Rook City, Escape: Curse of the Temple, Storm the Castle, and Smash Up! 🙂 Now the only question is, “which to play first?”
Going to try out Resident Evil DBG!!
Played Cinque Terre and Discworld Ankh-Morpork so far, hoping for some Castles of Burgundy tomorrow.
Played five games of Escape: Curse of the Temple with the family. Now, I’m in the middle of my first game of Eldritch Horror. Very fun, but we’re losing…
We’ve been playing Police Precinct and King of Tokyo which we got just prior to Christmas. Our shipment with Qwirkle just arrived and Memoir 44′ is soon to follow so hopefully one of those will hit the table this weekend or least by new years.
Hope to get my Netrunner Base set in this weekend.
I’ll play Takenoko & Flash Point Fire Rescue! 😀
I just bought’em and can’t wait to play them!
