Love the Elder Sign app! Awesome!!
I have never won on Elder Sign: Omens, but the board game isn’t bad. I wasn’t familiar with Warmachine: Prime MKII before seeing it in this week’s explorables.
Leap Day! The Explorables That Never Happened
By the way, if anyone is in London UK and interested in trying out Warmachine, there is a very good gaming club called Cross Gaming Club where you can get an intro or find an opponent if you already know how to play the game. I haven’t been down for a while but always found them to be a very welcoming crowd.
Ooooo! Far out! It’s me this week! Warmachine is such a great game, and I thoroughly recommend it if you have even the most passing interest in miniatures gaming. Elder signs is one of my all time favourite games, especially on the Ipad – well worth a look if you own an Ipad and only a few quid, so not too much of an investment!
Tried the Elder Sign app once awhile back on a friend’s phone. Got my but kicked. Never did get around to getting it though.
Love the Warmachine stuff. The units use all kinds of different weapons and special abilities. And the factions run the gambit from old school fantasy to new age techno junkies. Alas, too many miniature games and not enough………
Looks like two fantastic games, I look forward to learning more about them and trying them out. I love Fantasy Flight games, I haven’t been disappointed yet.
The Elder Sign app was one of the first I looked at when I got an iPad, but I just never pulled the trigger on. After playing the actual game, I’m not sure if I’d like it more as a solo game or not. Most of my iPad gaming is done to try out strategies, and I’m not sure how I’d deal with the randomness.
Congrats, @jimbovalsocks!
The Elder Sign app is probably my favourite mobile implementation of a board game. The base essence of the game is captured very well. The expansions really make it amazing, using the task resolution mechanic to a great storytelling effect.
