This Week’s Explorable Games
This round of Explorable Favorites is from BoardGaming.com member Aaron. The two games selected from their favorites shelf were:
- Galaxy Trucker
Czech Games Edition, Rio Grande Games - Dixit
Asmodee
These games will be explorable until next Monday, December 16th.
After you’ve explored these games, let us know what you think about them in the comments below!
Dixit is a game that resembles a psychiatric test more than anything else. I still hold this opinion. And the worst thing is that many expansions have left!

Maybe… just maybe Galaxy Trucker will be a gift for myself.
I love when new explorable favorites are added, and these games did not disappoint! I found Galaxy Trucker to be unexpectedly appealing, but it was Dixit that stole my heart! Unfortunately, I don’t get many opportunities to bust out a 3-6 player game. For me, if a game doesn’t support 1-2 players, it collects dust on my shelf.

You will like Galaxy Trucker.
I often see it played at the boardgame meetup groups.
I dunno … just know it has to have a very special group to play Dixit.
In other words, it is not a very good game.
I have been eyeing Galaxy Trucker for awhile now. It’s just that price tag that is holding me back.
Dixit looks like a ton of fun to play, but I see the point made about playing with the right group. Most of my friends are “over” Apples to Apples, and this just might fill that gap in a new (better) way.
Dixit found a game almost like a test board used by psychologists, was not one of the best games I played in my life, but I could label as some of the worst I’ve ever played.
As for the other game, Galaxy Trucker, but this did not play by the company (Rio Grande Games) is a game to be considered quite as great board games were made by this company, such as Dominion, Antike, Race for the Galaxy, Stone Age, St. Petersburg and others.
Overall, a good exploration.
Galaxy trucker drives some of my friends crazy due to the timing/rush aspect. I like them both!
I have played both of these games many times. Galaxy Trucker is tons of fun. I do want my own copy soon. I guess Dixit is fun, I just have trouble describing a picture, but we have fun playing it. The more people playing, the better.
I agree, Remy. I’m not sure either of these two games would make my buy list, given a limited budget, but they both sound fun and would hope my friends pick them up. (Hint, Hint)
Nice, I these are both games I know little about and wouldn’t mind knowing more. Thanks!
