This Week’s Explorable Games
This round of Explorable Favorites is from BoardGaming.com member NoLimitDB. The games selected from their Favorites shelf were:
- Dungeons & Dragons: Castle Ravenloft Board Game
Wizards of the Coast | Published: 2010 - Dungeons & Dragons: Wrath of Ashardalon
Wizards of the Coast | Published: 2011
These games will be explorable until next Monday, September 7th
Today would be a great day to review Ashardalon. Is there anybody out there that has played it before?
Both of these games seem like they could be a good intro to D & D style games.
Don’t own either of these but picked up Drizzt a few years ago. I did so not because I was a fan of D&D 4e (I’m not a fan…), but because I love the Drizzt series of novels by RA Salvatore.
Drizzt isn’t the most complex fare, but I like spending time with friends from the stories.
The games do look incredible, I just have never been able to delve into the role-playing arena of games
I have followed these two and The Legend of Drizzt for some time. The components and cool minis are very appealing.
I have no love for D & D 4th edition. I always saw it as a cash grab excuse to get the system into the miniature business.
These games, however, are the exception for me. This edition was at its best when it created the framework for its miniature adventures, and these games are a good time as a result. They do not provide a true D & D experience, but are good games in my opinion none the less.
So a 2 for 1 offer on explorables this week 😉
Actually a 4 for one to be honest.
Just got the last iteration of D&D boardgame, Temple of Elemental Evil. I love the game but I don’t feel, I should get one of these two
