This round of Explorable Favorites is from BoardGaming.com member Zeenoth. The games selected from their Favorites shelf were:
These games will be explorable until next Monday, August 17th
@Lone Token – not nearly as much time as I’d like but Friday is not a daunting commitment by any stretch of imagination.
Can’t wait to get Cauldron to you!
I am a sucker for solo, since people don’t seem to want to play games with me (I suspect it is the smell) so Friday is certainly worth a look-see.
I didn’t get too excited about Vikings, but would like to see it in action.
Zeenoth, if you are out there, we would love to hear why these games rate amongst your most favorite!
@ Artem
You still have time to play games?
Can’t wait to Explore Cauldron
Friday was a curious experience for me. It didn’t grab me right away but I liked it enough and it filled a niche that is unique (short solo game) so it made it to the table frequently. Thought I’d get tired of it but instead I find myself liking it slightly more with time – there is a considerable amount of variability and strategy for such a tiny box. The difficulty also helps – winning is always an event 🙂
I love playing Friday once in a while but that game is hard, really hard.
Vikings, the theme appeals to me but the reviews didn’t convince me to get the game
Vikings looks like it’s not very thematic, Friday looks intriguing though!
Friday is a neat little solo game but seems hard to get hold of at present, at least it was late last year when I was looking for a copy.
Vikings was hard to find until Z-man released the latest edition last year and is a favorite of several of my gaming friends, including my girlfriend.
Vikings is another of those games that I’ve thought about picking up, but have never been able to pull the trigger on. This may be one to try out at the local boardgame cafe.
Congrats Zeenoth! I haven’t played either of these, but Friday is a rare solo-only game. I had not seen Vikings until today, but it looks sharp as well.
