Cross Hares in action

1A Games’ successfully funded kickstarter campaign for Cross Hares: Testing Grounds is officially published and has made (or is making) its way to the homes of its backers, then it will make its way to store shelves. We’re celebrating by adding more of the great Cross Hare characters to our avatar selection.

As an added bonus, all Cross Hares items will only cost 250 BG gold for a limited time.

Cross Hares is an exciting new brand of adventure games. The first game in the line (each of which will be stand-alone with its own expansions) is Cross Hares: Testing Ground.

Still trying to find a copy of this. Just a few short years pass and things become nigh-impossible to get your hands on!

Fun game, but the art is the true star. Getting lost in a game has never been as easy for me in such a simple game!!

Loving the new available avatars! Picked up one in case I get tired of this one, but doubtful. Like others here I’m a huge fan of Harley Quinn (was tempted by the sinister smile avatar too) but for icons and avatars I’m more for Poison Ivy, I tend to pick avatars that look more like me with the fitting red hair.

I was glad to see a review of Heroes Wanted finally and look forward to your review @HaiKulture. Its been on my wish list for awhile but have been waiting to see what others had to say.

@Hai Yup, your math hits the nail on the head. For me offspring = no downtime, and they’re too young to really do any kind of real gaming. We just played Cootie WITH the rules for the first time a week ago. 😉

I agree, gathering at a friend’s house, or having them over yours, pouring a glass and gaming is a much more appealing way to spend a Friday/Saturday night… a lot cheaper too. (not that the bar scene wasn’t fun at that point in my life. ;))

I haven’t been to GenCon since 2002 and that was a blast of ridiculous proportions (again, no offspring = downtime!), so I’m quite due!

@Bobb33z3r LOL It isn’t that much gaming time. (The SenTact review is in backlog because I haven’t had a chance to play it again since being down the shore for Labor Day.) It is mostly no offspring = downtime. We are also lucky enough to be friends with another gaming couple and corrupted a third. Never being much for the bar scene and mostly in the twilight of that part of life anyway – it is just nicer to gather at someone’s house twice a month or so to pop a cork, fill a glass, and roll some dice. Most of our gaming is just the two of us on a Sunday or turning The Nieces sleeping over into some lighter gaming fare. 🙂 After this year’s GenCon wash out – I am really amped to go this year. (The Boy has been in the past – but not me).

@HaiKulture yeesh, that’s your backlog? What I’d give to have the time to play all of those even once on any given weekend! Those were the days!

(tho I’m angling for a 2015 GenCon trip this year ;))

<—- This one isn't going anywhere. ( She's the closest I could find to Harley Quinn. While I have a reserve of femme Sentinel avatars and some Thunderstone/MageWars, there are some in the Fleshworld who would assure you that the crazy-lady hairstyle and sly, insane grin are all too fitting :p It is tough living one's life looking like an off-the-clock super villainess) It is always fun when new avatars pop up. 🙂

@Chris from 1A I want to run a few more characters through the Testing Ground to play the token set ones. I'll move it to the top of the list and should have it by the weekend.

I need some semester break and snow days: Review Backlog = Heroes Wanted, Arcadia Quest, The Captain is Dead, Darkest Night, Rise of the Runelords vs Skullcles, Galactic Strike Force, Camp Grizzly (probably for another site), & SenTactics (which has been lingering for awhile half finished).

Always nice to see more avatars on the site. While I would agree that I am very much attached to my Chrono Ranger avatar, if we ever see an avatar for The Sentinels group for SotM: Vengeance, I’ll switch in a heartbeat. I look forward to seeing what glorious new avatars will be added down the road.

Nifty! I finally got a chance to play it yesterday. Interesting – it is ‘The Modern Day Adult Version of Those Sick Day Games From When You Were Ten’. So much Tang and Nostalgia – I need to get a review cooking for this Watership Meltdown.

@1A Games – Thank you for the avatars! 🙂 🙂

I missed out on the kickstarter, but I’m glad the game will hit shelves. It looks awesome! Love the art!
