Can’t wait just got the last draco magi plus for battle for souls pack what a deal 65 bucks for both can’t wait totally getting the foil cards and playmat too. I will have so many new games to play that so well done Oddball Aeronauts, Lagoon, Villages, Alchemy and now the wonderful Draco Magi.
You should add Board With Life: Season 2 on KickStarter. Sure, it’s geek culture and not a specific game, but it’s super entertaining.

Wish Dungeon Scroll had made the list, as I’m a bit of a word nerd. It seems really simple, but really fun. And already funded.
Scoville seems really interesting and unique, but I’m trying not to spend $300 per month on board game Kickstarters anymore, and have met my quota with a few others.
I will systematically back out of every single pledge I made until I recover from the car repairs I need to do this week. Till then, I am still pretty passionate about the projects I’m backing And will back it until forced to withdraw.
Slaughterball, Lagoon, Province, Draco Magi and Alchemy! and oddball Aeronauts all look dope.
Maze Master and oddball Aeronauts (excellent 2 player game) are two games well worth checking out on KS (both are UK based and worthy of support)
Might be inclined to back oddball Aeronauts for the print n’ play version. I held out on Zombie ’15, will probably pick it up later when it’s retail. It’s one of those games that despite the worn out theme, definitely looks fun as far as mechanics go.
I am seriously considering Shipwrights of the North Seas. Looks like a game for me! 😀
I’ve put the brakes on my Kickstarter board game investing, after an initial spree in the post-GenCon withdrawal. Part of that is a lack of truly exciting prospects; another part of it is seeing the pledges that promised early 2014 delivery now offering apologies (a series of Game Salute-produced offerings switched from their Chinese printer to an American alternative and delayed games by months). Still, every so often something sounds neat enough to throw some money behind. Tiny Epic Kingdoms was one of those recently; among the current batch it’s Draco Magi (on the strength of Launius’ brand) and Scoville (because it looks like interesting and unusual gameplay).
Backing just those I know I like which is Kingdom Builder at this point.
Shipwrights of the North looks interesting enough to investigate further.
Everyone talking about Lagoon makes me more interested. I’ll look more into that one. Also checking out Slaughterball since Account Deletion have talked so much about it 😉
Nice games and good suggestions! Thanks everybody.
Heroes Wanted looks like a bunch of fun, so I went in on that. A friend has Heroes of Metro City, so I want to try that again before going in on that one. Hopefully this week. We went in on Combat Kittens too, just because it looked like stupid fun.
Zombie 15′ is a definite grab in the next hour if you already haven’t. It is chock full of Stretchies and the art and figures look superb. It’s Zombicide in small severed chunks and some might say an actual game behind it. 🙂
Shadowrift The original was an interesting co-op deck builder. It was marred a bit by a clunky mechanic or two or just an unclear rule presentation. It appears Archfiends smooths out the rough spots and brings interesting new game content to the table.
I really hope Zeppelin Attack! gains some altitude for the Final Week and every important Final 48. It looks like a good romp of a deckbuilder.
Province is a smaller than a meeple Euro. I got to playtest it for LAB and there is quite a bit of depth of decision in the fast paced turns and all done in 15-20 minutes or so. The $5 price requires little thought and the breezy play makes it a good grab and go game for the lunch break satchel.
So glad to see Slaughterball here this week. It’s quite expensive and from an unknown designer so it might not reach its stretch goals, but I’m sure it will get funded and it looks really good. And as I mentioned last week, it will allow me to forget about Kaosball since I missed all the goodies that came with that Kickstarter campaign.
Also excited to see Shipwrights of the North Sea make the cut. It easily funded and looks like a solid game, but it’s expensive for what it is once you add shipping outside of New Zealand. The designer has done something neat here to get around it… he’s offering nearly his entire catalog of games (a few of them actually rated well on BGG) for $17 US ($20 NZD) apiece. You can receive 5 of the 6 games he’s made for a pledge of around $100, and he’s got great information and pictures of each of these games on his website. You choose which titles.
Finally, pleased to see Scoville finally taking off. My gut says this will be the best game to come out of Kickstarter in early 2014, and it is going to be AWESOME with the custom pepper meeples and indented game board once that stretch goal is reached (almost certain now).
I backed Westerly and Zombie 15. Zombie 15 has some nice King of Toyko promo items for backers and the game looks like it could be fun with game play only lasting 15 minutes.
Whoops! There was supposed to be a ‘Thank you for posting Westerly on that too 🙂 🙂 🙂
YEE-HAW! 🙂
