We’ve finally recovered from our move, and the house is mostly box-free, so we’re getting back to Pandemic Legacy. We got crushed in our first attempt at August, losing in just 5 turns (not rounds, but turns… I played exactly once), so we’ll be giving that another shot.
What are you playing this weekend?
@HarryCallaghan79: BSG is much better with the expansions. The fact that there are more skill cards in the expansions, which cuts down on shuffling and adds variety is huge. The expansions also have great new characters to play too. We always use the Cylon Fleet Board and CAG (among some other items)in our games. Makes Cylon attacks more constant and makes playing a pilot character more interesting too. There’s some other stuff which make the game better and by the same token some expansion stuff we never use. Trust me, the expansions are worth owning.
@stargazer1
Do you think Battlestar Galactica is better with expansions or without? I have been thinking of getting Pegasus.
Played a couple of games of Deep Space D-6. Nice little solo game. I hope to get in a few more games of it and try the other ships.
Had our local regional con (Council of 5 Nations) this past weekend. I’d say it was fairly well attended despite the slight change in date. Played:
Friday (9/23)
Battlestar Galactica with expansions
Concordia (2x, once with the Salsa expansion)
Port Royal
Saturday (9/24)
Nations
Colt Express
Cockroach Poker
Hosted Glass Road
Hosted Napoleonic Wars
Sunday (9/25)
Here I Stand Campaign game
We got battered by eldritch horror last night. Still had a blast though
Saturday 24th-Got in a game of Rivals: Batman Vs The Joker
Going to attempt to get in another Pandemic:Legacy–my daughter needs to be in the right mood for it to be fun for everyone. We will see. Otherwise some more Dominion. We don’t have a lot of time this weekend.
We continued our Pandemic Legacy quest, and we played Love Letter too.
Awesome gaming Weekend, I got in Small World with three expansions and Mansions of Madness Second Edition. We beat the Cycles of Eternity scenario, barely, but we did beat it!
Last weekend was a light gaming affair. Needed to get something done around the house because this coming weekend is our local gaming con and I won’t be around. Saturday (9/17) we played:
Peloponnes
Concordia my first play – good game!
Thebes
Glass Road
Grizzled (2x)
Dominion returns this weekend. Also another play of Encounters: Shadowrun. It is a quick, push your luck game that we like a lot.
I had a lot of family events this weekend but managed to get some unexpected gaming in on Saturday night (9/10):
Mansions of Madness using the app for the overlord
Glass Road
Kingsburg w/expansion
Roll for the Galaxy w/expansion
Going to try and get some Dark Future games in
For this weekend, I want to get Encounters: Shadowrun played along with MP: Chain Reaction.
Sunday saw some Pandemic, Pandemic: Contagion, Dark Dealings, and Dice Heist.
Tsuro of the Seas, Bottom of the 9th, Dominant Species and Machi Koro. Lots of fun!
Our group played Sentinels of the Multiverse, Dead of Winter, and Munchkin Panic. We had a lot of fun, although one person definitely carried the team. Regrettably for the rest of us, the star player of the day was also the Betrayer in Dead of Winter–we were getting eaten as the colony was overrun while she made her getaway 🙂
Got to play Firefly and Mansions of Madness 2nd edition. Loved em both!
Started the weekend with Napoleonic Wars on Friday (9/2). Planning on bringing Krosmaster: Quest and a few others to the table today (9/4), which also happens to be my birthday. Hopefully I can get something to the table on Monday (9/5) too.
Capt_Ron – I haven’t played traders and barbarians in a while but last week we played Settlers of America at our FLGS. My daughter loves history, knows Catan, but isn’t always up to play a game. She loved it so we might be adding that to our collection sometime soon.
