We really enjoyed last week’s game of Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game and hope to get some more time with it this weekend. Also on the table will be some Star Wars: The Card Game and Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures Game… we’re big Star Wars fans, and we’re anxiously waiting for the next set of X-Wing expansions!
What are you playing this weekend?

A friend has picked copies of Eclipse and Love Letter, so looking forward to giving those a go this weekend.
Hoping to squeeze in a game or two of Netrunner as well if we have time.
Settlers of Catan (I’m teaching the game to a member of my gaming group who has never played it before!)
City of Horrors
Hope to get in a game of Spartacus: A Game of Blood and Treachery
Probably Dominion:Hinterlands
More Munchkin. Combining Space Munchkin and Munchkin Fu to make: Anime Munchkin!
We will play through the remaining adventure packs in the Shadows of Mirkwood Cycle of Lord of the Rings:LCG and intersperse it with a variety of fast-played board games (hopefully I’ll get Carcassonne into the mix).
Probably some Thunderstone Advance with the Caverns of Bane expansion. It has been a few months since I have played.
Mrs. Millhouse is going to be out of town for the night so the boys will be over for some gaming. I don’t know what we will get ourselves into though. Maybe some Agricola or something deep like that. Brings up two thoughts. One, I need to set up a new Heroscape board for us soon. Two, I need to get to a game night at my local shop for some fresh blood of games.
Dos Rios and Bridges of Shangri La.
I am going to the LGS tonight. Trying to figure out what to buy, current options are
-Small World Underworld
-Pandemic
-King of Tokyo
-DiXit
or a combination of a couple of those. . .
Need some suggestions maybe.
We will play some City Square Off with our youngest, and some more X-Wing Miniatures with my oldest son. I hope to play the new Eclipse expansion. The masochist in me wants to play a 9 player game just to see how long that will take.
Oh! And for Bang! lovers… Samurai Sword is a fun game using the same mechanics. It’s a little easier to teach and play IMO… which lends itself to playing with younger folks or non-gamers. It’s still a bluffing game, and decidedly “evil” by nature… but in a fun way!
I have a shipment with CO2, Ginkgopolis, Myrmes, Sewer Pirates, and Space Cadets coming, so I may get one or two of those games in as well. Super Excited (claps hands together, jumping up and down, like Santa has just flown across the moon)!
Huckleberry, if you are into cooperative games, I can’t recommend Pandemic and the On The Brink expansion enough. It has been a favorite for all of the people I game with, from Family/Social gamers on up.
