Weekend agenda: 1) crack open Grey Fox Games’ upcoming Champions of Midgard, a great looking combination of worker placement and combat; 2) finish our Undercity campaign; 3) play our all-time favorite horror game – Ghost Stories – and try to get to as much other scary fare as possible. The Nightmare Before Christmas Munchkin is pretty likely. Poor Blood Rage will need to wait another week…
What are you playing this weekend?
I dont see much gaming this weekend, as I am working both days. Maybe somethign quick like Forbidden Island.
Just tried more cosmic encounter, the wife forgot all the rules and couldn’t get them so we had to quit. I think two bottles of wine were no help!
Played some Carcassonne with Inns & Cathedrals expansion this morning. Millionaire’s Row expansion just came in the mail, so I’ll be trying that out later today…probably tomorrow too!
Introducing my son to Marvel Legendary. Maybe throw in Marvel Dice Masters to pull it all together.
I was also thinking of pulling out Princes of Florence along with Vegas Showdown which has similar mechanics but a different theme for my gaming group to play and compare this weekend. We may also try Edo again.
Friday: Princes of Florence, BSG w/expansions & Glass Road.
Today we played Peloponnes, Flash Point (3x), Hansa Teutonica, & Return of the Heroes w/UtSotD expansion.
Roll for the Galaxy with the expansion, Some Pandemic Legacy
Great gaming night, started with some Exploding Kittens, then paired off and did some 2 player action and a friend and I got a game of Patchwork, then came back and tried Smash-Up Munchkin, and ended the night with Ticket to Ride. Hope some more happens over the weekend.
Sunday we got together with my brothers to play some Scotland Yard, Uno, Diamonds, Exploding Kittens, and Til Dawn. Great gaming day.
Just played Zooloretto for the first time in a year. I forgot how much fun this game is and how cutthroat it can get.
It’s Halfway to Tabletop day tomorrow at Durty Nellie’s in Palatine, IL, and several of my regular group are headed there for ~12 hours of assorted gaming.
@Lampeter. I need to revisit my copy of Forbidden Island; I haven’t played it in about a year. It was the game that really got me into coops. I may play it and Castle Panic this weekend.
Probably playing through our new copy of Forbidden Island solo a few times before teaching my kids. It’s been a couple years since I last played it.
