Spent the weekend out of town, but last night I got in a game of Cities and Knights! There was a sheep shortage, so nobody was able to get a knight down before the Barbarians arrived… two times. My opponents recovered, but I never made it back off the ground.
I rounded out my weekend yesterday with some Keyflower; Goblins Drool; and a Superhero card game that impressed me enough that I already forgot it’s name.
I was lucky enough to get some good gaming in this weekend between a trip to a local games club and usual gaming with my daughter. Games included Steel Driver, Jungle Speed, Eight Minute Empire, Ave Caesar and, pretty much inevitably, Love Letter. Oh, and a solo play of Forbidden Desert, which I haven’t yet had a chance to play with anyone else. Soon, though, I’m sure…
Received the Get Bit Kickstarter a few weeks ago, and I broke it out for my family. My kids have taken to this game, and we played it half a dozen times yesterday, It is very neat to see my 6 year-old daughter really get this game.
My parents were visiting and I introduced them to modern board games: Tokaido, Takenoko and Roll Through The Ages.
They enjoy all 3 and in the coming 10 days we will play some more of those plus San Juan and maybe Dominion.
I picked up a copy of Conquest of Nearth for really cheap (£15) and we will be giving it a dry run. I’m really looking forward to it, from reading the rules it seems to be a sort of amalgam of the GoT game and Risk.
Had a mini-game night last night. Started light with Fleet, Zen Garden, Eight-Minute Empire, and Roll Through The Ages. Moved on to Samurai Sword, Zombicide, Pandemic, Toc Toc Woodman, and River Dragons before having 3 games of Werewolfe (1st had all 3 WWs killed in 3 days with 13 players!) and a finale of Alien Frontiers + all expansions and BSG + Pegasus that ended poorly for the humans after all making it off of New Caprica onto a destroyed Galactica.
A friend told me that Dominion can now be played on Facebook, and online at their website. I tried it out, and it’s a fairly good transfer with (of course) additional monetization options to help make the game a bit more easy to play, if you’re struggling.
Search the internet for “Dominion online” and you’ll see it available in a few non-Facebook locations as well.
Playing Cards vs. Dice and cards against humanity.
This weekend we will be playing the Mice & mystics along with Mansions of Madness its going to be a good day..!
Played City of Remnants and Tsuro

Mage Knight is on the way! Hopefully try that with the Wednesday group. Otherwise, Arkham Horror or Killer Bunnies.
I am hoping to get some work buddies in for a maiden submarine voyage with Red November.
Played LOTR DBG and DC DBG with the family.
