To kick off a new month we’ll be playing some Star Wars: X-Wing (expansions are on their way!). Not sure what other games will hit the table, but sometimes is nice to see what the group is in the mood to play rather than scheduling a specific game.
What are you playing this weekend?
@ Sir Gamesalot (great handle, btw! lol): I don’t think he’s an online-y person enough to have put anything online about it. But the good news is, it’s looking like his next design that will get published (just not sure who yet). Patience, Padawan!
So far have played Wits and Wagers, Skyline, Food Fight and will be plaing Fantastiqa later today ( Sunday).
@Player 1 Yellow,
Is your group member’s Unpublished Prototype mentioned in a blog somewhere or available for play-testing? I’d love to hear more about it.
Looking forward to breaking out the newly reprinted deluxe version of Unexploded Cow, along with a game of Star Trek Catan, King of Tokyo, Survive, Zombicide and Sentinels: Enhanced Edition.
Played some yomi as we just started up a new league. Went 5-1 in the first match including 2-0 against Argagarg’s worst matchups.
I am playing SmallWorld Underground with a group of my 7th graders. It’s been a great experience. I don’t think anybody plays games with some of them. So I am working on spreading the joy of gaming.
NWIBGA weekly Game Night + After Party:
Loopin’ Louie (needs an entry here!), Tsuro, High Society, Dixit (Odyssey + 2), Two Rooms & A Boom (x3), and a group member’s Unpublished Prototype (a great game).
Played a couple games of Zombicide. Took a first run at Eclipse and finished up with Ascension
Played Tammany Hall, Dixit Odyssey, and 2 Rooms and a Boom 3 times tonight.
We played Merchants and Marauders for the second time (First time to actually finish). It’s a fun game. It feels like playing the board game version of Sid Meier’s Pirates!
Did pretty well this weekend, though not much gaming with my daughter this time. I had a couple of games of Sleeping Queens with her, but elsewhere, with adults, I got to play The Resistance, El Grande (yay!), Steel Driver, Eight-Minute Empire, and Witch’s Brew. All really good stuff.
Played Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures (fast and furious… and excellent!) and DC Comics Deck Building on Friday. Played Les Fils de Samarande on Saturday. Also spent some time reading/learning the rules for Fleet, Runewars (Revised Edition), Conflict of Heroes: Awakening the Bear (2nd Edition) and Samurai.
What we actually ended up playing was a few rounds of Boss Monster (if you guys haven’t kickstarted this or gotten your hands on it you really should, probably one of the better cards games i’ve played) and got to play about 3-4 games of king of tokyo with the power-up expansion.
Played Tzolkin (cool idea, not sure how much I enjoyed the game though, but would play again.), Terra Mystica (Really fun, want to pick up my own copy now.), and Smash Up (Not sure, maybe better with more than 2 players?).
Friday we played Bluff, Le Havre: The Inland Port, and Sewer Pirates: Saturday was Heroclix and Dragonstorm; and today we plan to play Le Havre: The Inland Port, Mice & Mystics, Seasons and Bluff.
@Akden, my copy of Stone & Relic also arrived (across the Atlantic) yesterday and looks awesome, so I’m really looking forward to giving it a try. May have to wait until next weekend though.
I Just got done gaming with some buds, we played a couple of games of Spartacus, Infiltration and Betrayal at House on the Hill.
I get home Sunday and will insist on playing something. Whole family so Ticket to ride, Catan, or Spy Alley. Flash point is at my school, otherwise that would be in the mix.
Got in a game of Eclipse with BGG’s Voice Gamers Guild today.
Let’s see, last night was Cosmic Encounter. Today was Star Wars: The Card Game. I just got it today and I’m basically in learning mode on it. I like it so far! Hope everyone’s weekend games are going great!
