The summer convention season officially begins for me today. Just arrived at Origins Game Fair (Columbus, Ohio) and have a couple of games on the schedule. Should have time for some demos and wallet emptying activities as well.
No worries, isn’t it so with every group. For us it often is a case of having to many games that we’re not able to choose. On a recent cabin trip I came up with the brilliant idea of just rolling a die with the winner choosing game (no vetos) instead of going back and forth and usually ending up with a filler “while we plan for a meatier game” 😀
@ inmarg Correct on both games! Sorry about the repeat appearances. Our group has a wide variety of games, but some games hit the table more often than others (“Zelda” was a bit of a red herring, but it WAS an actual clue that day).
1) Iconography innnnnnnnnnnnnn SPACE!
2) Stratagon is :1
3) Zen koan: Is a song that melts itself still a song?
4) If a guy with THREE first initials is so big on ONENESS – why are there TWO of these?
Huge 8 player eldritch horror sessions

Got to play Tokaido and Paradox this weekend.
Back to the Future: An Adventure Through Time. Excellent game, great mechanisms (role selection + hand management) and very cool theme integration.
2 is codenames. This clue has made a few apperances already 😉
4 is Two Towers, or the second installment of the series given the game follows the books 😉
@ Stargazer1

2 – incorrect. Bonus clue – The answers were link, princess, spell
3 – correct!

@ Hai Clean sweep! Now let’s see who can fill in the actual names…
Hmmm…Ok – Epic Game Day – do your worst:

Hi,
Yesterday I played Warhammer Quest- the Silver Tower; Splendor and Chimera. Today I will be looking at some new(for me) games.
Epic Game Day quiz! List the ones that you figure out…
1 – Somebody needs to get to twelve cards before he gets all the victory points. Don’t forget to recharge a windfall world.
2 – Zelda: 3
3 – I liked how he promised you that truce right before he crushed you in Riverrun. You win or you die, I guess.
4- I’m not sure if we can defeat Saruman before the Wall deck runs out. There are still three Archenemies left!
7 Wonders
Skyline
One Deck Dungeon – PNP
and cleaning the gutters
Great gaming day: Smash-Up, Five Tribes, Kobayakawa, Castles of Mad King Ludwig, and CV.
Already played a couple games of Splendor. Family coming into town, so might get a few more games in on Sunday. Hope to teach my mom Codenames.
Sentinels of the Multiverse and DC Deck Building.
A game of Spirit Island and got to try out Last Will. Maybe some Sentinels, if time permits.
