We’re one week into the new year, and it’s time to work on those new year’s resolutions of playing more games!
Maybe you’ll be playing a new game received over the holidays? If you can’t make up your mind, try pulling the game with the most dust on it off the shelf and taking it for a spin!
More Risk: Legacy, Kingdom Builder, Dominion (with Hinterlands, of course!), and Eminent Domain.
We were able to play Ascension with all three sets mixed together, as well as a rousing 6-player game of Survive. On the cooperative front, we narrowly lost a 6-player game of Defenders of the Realm and were absolutely dominated in a 4-player game of Ghost Stories.
I got to play Malifaux for this first time, and will hopefully will be throwing down on some Warhammer. My buddy got a ton of new games for Christmas and we may sit down and play through a few if he takes the time to read the manuals.
Played San Juan and Hamsterrolle tonight. Not sure what else we might play this weekend, but I’d like to play Race for the Galaxy and Eminent Domain…
In the middle of a game of Space Hulk with my son. I forgot just how much fun this game can be! Going to some friends’s house tomorrow, where I hope to play Pandemic, Survive, and potentially Battlestar Galactica.
I’ll be trying out Return of Ramses, the LEGO/Kinizia game, again. Played it last weekend and it was very loose. We had to create several ruleings that were not covered in the rules (some pretty basic things too). I’m hoping that playing around with some of the optional rules will help clearify some of the missing rules. I’m looking forward to it because the game’s hidden information and memory elements are a lot of fun to play with.
It is Afternoon Play #15 here in Birmingham on Sunday. I have copies of Stalag 17 and Ticket to Ride Map Collection Vol. 2 – Ticket to Ride India that I want to try out if others are willing. Then again, I would really like to try Agricola or Thurn & Taxis.
As an aside, I would really like to get to play Panic Station again and subsequently write a review.
I have the final session of the Pathfinder campaign that I’m in tonight, but other than that I’m not sure what games I’ll be playing this weekend. Definitely want to play something, though!
Probably be playtesting SWCCG decks for the upcoming Match Play Championship (MPC) in February. Other than that, maybe some Settlers.
@Decimit
Last Night on Earth is a GREAT game. Tons of fun and it’s one of those games that after you finish a session you have a story, not just a winner.
And it perfectly captures the feel and fun campiness of a cheesy zombie movie. Definitely worth getting – if not now, eventually.
Trying my hand at Mage Knight‘s solo quest. We may also pull out some co-ops this weekend (Forbidden Island and/or Pandemic most likely). We’ll probably add in some Tetris Link. I’ve been trying to get in more Innovation, we’ll see if that happens.
I picked up several new games recently. Hoping to try a few of them out this weekend with some friends. Quarriors, Forbidden Island and Elder Sign. We will also be playing Carcassonne with the group for the first time. I’m also considering picking up Last Night on Earth, but we might have enough games for this weekend for now.
Plan on playing Caylus..Flashpoint Fire Rescue..Tigris and Euphrates..to name just a small portion
We will be playing some more Risk Legacy, Warhammer FRP and Heroscape (kids). We’ve got some newer games to try like Hemloch, Gubs, and maybe Core Worlds. I’m also waiting on a second copy of LOTR:LCG for a 4 person game with the family.
