Agree that this is worth the price of admission, however, it will not work on older iOS devices, like 1st gen iPod or the iPhone 3G. It requires a newer OS to even install than is available for those devices. Caveat emptor!

I was fortunate to catch this deal yesterday. I’m also looking forward to plunking down the cash for the tablet version after acquiring an iPad sometime in the near future. I’m super impressed by the polish on this iOS port; on par with Carcassonne in my opinion. Looking forward at trying out some of the local play modes with multiple devices!
Sadly, still waiting for it to appear on the Android platform. A constant problem for anyone with an Android device.
I just noticed you can also download Hive for the iphone. It’s free this week on the the app store.
I agree that this is well worth the full price. Anyone who misses the deal today, should still pick up a copy! You spend more than $0.99 on a 20oz mountain dew, which I’m currently drinking 🙂

The iphone version is different than the ipad version which offers the expansions.
I just purchased this app for full price a couple of weeks ago. I’m not even disappointed I didn’t wait. This game is well worth the full price. Great game and a great app.
I’m cheap, but I would highly recommend Ticket to Ride Pocket when you have to pay it’s full price ($0.99). For free, it is well worth getting for any gamer with an iOS device. I intially worried about fitting the board onto the smaller screen of an iPod Touch, but it ends up working well.
Having 4 different AI playstyles is also enjoyable. It also really adds to the game when you are trying to finish the achievements, especially 15 tickets, and claiming all black routes.
One word of warning: it has been explained to me that the music can become annoying if you’re trying to sleep and someone is playing it all night trying to finish those achievements.
I just downloaded it! Days of Wonder makes very high quality apps of their board games, so getting this for free is an absolute treat!
