I backed Fireteam Zero more because it plays solo and has a french version…thing that is very rare on kickstarter

Rum & Bones is on my radar list..but I am not sure yet if I will back it

I am in 12 Realms for $14. After last year, I expected the holidays to have more “must have” kickstarters, but this year I have money for presents!! 🙂

Rum and Bones and Mind: The Fall of Paradise look good. The guys on the Secret Cabal really talked them up on their last podcast, but I’m waiting on so many Kickstarters to be delivered, I think I’m going to have to hold off for a bit before I pledge on something else.

Hmm… Really liking the artwork on Artifacts Inc., but the game just doesn’t look like its for me. I really wanted to be sold on Rum & Bones, but for some reason, I’m just not feeling it. I guess this month, I can save my money for other things – like buying Christmas presents for the family. 🙂 Maybe next month I’ll be back to pledging on Kickstarter. Happy holidays all!

MIND-The Fall of Paradise will not fund. Meanwhile, Rum and Bones, a game that would have been produced no matter what, has +500%
I’m very sad now.

Last week I backed and then backed out of Rum and Bones. This time of year is always hard on the purse strings. While a few of these look pretty darn cool, I think I would rather spend on Christmas presents now rather than games I won’t see until July.

On another note, did anyone else here back Meteor!? I have been happy in the past with Mayday games, but there has been silence for the past month or so since the campaign ended, even in the comments. Just wondering if anyone saw a survey I missed or some other update.

So I forgot to post an update on what I’m backing last week since learning to produce this took all my brain cells. All projects I was backing when I last updated in November have ended… so everything’s new this week!

Coven: backing this for 3 reasons: 1) I like Jason Maxwell and 8th Summit – think they did a great job with Till Dawn and Agents of SMERSH; 2) Cool theme – as en vogue as vampires, zombies and Lovecraft are, we see surprisingly few witch-themed games; and 3) The board – unlike gear-topped boards like Tzolk’in, the rotating piece of this board takes up nearly the whole thing… really curious to see how this works in the game.

Biblios Dice: I’ve always been a little embarrassed that I’m not interested in Biblios – this dice version looks deeper and more interesting to me.

Rum & Bones: everything CMON produces turns out to be so fun… there’s no way their pirate game will be the first disappointment.

Taluva: the price tag is staggering. The game looks pretty simple. I have no idea why, but I can’t say no. And I’m not the only one.

12 Realms: Ghost Town: it’s always bothersome when you have to back an expansion of a game on Kickstarter before the original game’s rewards have reached you. But Town Center did this to me earlier this year and that turned out alright, so I’ll give Mage Company the benefit of the doubt here.
