Backing a project can be a great thing, but please do the research on a game before you put money into it. Happy exploring!

Thank you so much Jim! That’s very kind of you…
I’m grateful for any kind of support – being a new developer is not easy among the giants, but it sure has its moments of joy 🙂
Have a good day – and happy gaming!
Best regards Emil
Less than a day to go for Zombicide. The latest optional items had me dancing with glee.
Hey BG crew. I’m planning for an online campaign for an Omaha-based board game cafe(facebook.com/spielbound). It will be the only one of its kind (that we know of) as it will start with 1K+ games (I have 2K+ to donate), have a large amount of playing space (4.4K sq ft), and be a nonprofit dedicated to providing/teaching games for schools, community centers, senior centers, etc, as well as for a large library space, lots of volunteers (daily demos), etc. I’m hoping the model will be successful and it can be adopted elsewhere around the country. We’d like to raise money to get some quality tables, generate interest, sell merchandise, and pre-memberships. We’re planning to open this summer. So, IndieGogo or Kickstarter? 30 days or more? Curious what you think since this is very different from a KS boardgame, but I’m hoping it will appeal to our community as well.
I’d love to see a version of this update with games that actually need backers. Everytime it seems to be games that are fully funded and often well into the 300 to 500 percent funded range! Zombicide Season 2 is over 7500% funded? There’s $2 million on the table for that one, and while the first edition was great and the second one is something most of us are interested in, it just seems like this would be a great opportunity to seek out smaller games that could really use the exposure that a site like this could provide.
@Emil, I’ll include Burning Suns in the next kickstarter article!
Hey board gamers,
Is there any way I can tell people about my Kickstarter campaign of Burning Suns in here? In a post, upload my game to the many other games available here… or?
I would love to share my board game with people in here.. but I’m pretty new in here, and it seems like a fairly closed forum?
Maybe I’m just not getting it right.
Have a good day, and thank you for taking you time to answer 🙂
Best regards Emil
@coltsfan76 That is a good idea and a vald point. The abysmal delivery rates to Europe makes me want to stuff as much as possible into the lot, yet it might be better to simply wait until it reaches retailers over here. Those unique ships would be a treat, though…
@Chaireas My thought on Sails of Glory was to get the base game and the KS exclusives but for the expanded stuff, wait until retail later and get a discount. It is funded already so little fear of it not getting produced.
I am really interested in Sails of Glory, but I honestly dont’ know if I want to spend the kind of money required to get get enough ships to make it worthwhile.
I’m backing Teramyyd currently (among other things *cough*zombicide*cough*), but I don’t know that I’m quite sold on it yet. Waiting for them to release a gameplay video, but my gut’s telling me it’s not going to make my cut.
Flashpoint Extreme Danger for me. I live in Australia so the extra shipping cost hurts but I can live with it.
Zombicide is stealing most of my funds right now, but I don’t think I can pass up Flash Point: Fire Rescue – Extreme Danger since I love the Flash Point game. Kickstarter, why are you such an evil temptress?
Big KS week for me. Backing Sails of Glory (ouch that hurts the wallet), Teramyyd, Speculation, and of course Extreme Danger.
My poor wallet agrees.
Zombicide.
’nuff said.
