Ascension
This game was one of the first games that really got me into the board game / deck building hobby. My girlfriend and I picked this one night and played three games straight. The rules were easy to learn and teach.
I have since picked up the expansion and the ipad version and continue to play as much as possible. Its an excellent filler quick and easy to set up and a fair amount of strategy that is mitigated by the randomness of the decks and your opponents ability to mess with your plans. I will hands down pick up every expansion and promo card I can get my hands on.
If you are looking for a fun and fast filler this should be it!
