Just ordered Sentinels of the Multiverse, hopefully it’ll be here by this weekend other wise it’s a toss up between Powergrid, 7 Wonders or Puerto Rico.
Well, I was surprised by the sudden phone call of cancelled plans. A few of us got together to plan Caylus. What a great game, and for once didn’t need to teach it to someone new.
Well, I managed to get a few games played this weekend, so I’m happy. Love Letter was pretty much inevitable (made even better as we now have a set of heart shaped steel tokens to use instead of the cubes), plus some Master Labyrinth, Goblins Drool Fairies Rule, Tooth & Nail Factions, and the latest acquisition, Guilds of Cadwallon, which we very much enjoyed.

My roommate and I keep a tally of the Elder Gods we defeat and how well we faired against them, but competitive tallies may have to end up happening. We’re always having showdowns in games like Summoner Wars, Race for the Galaxy and Ascension, but who knows who’s been on top in the long run (myself, my pride dictates I assert).
A 1-game day turned into a 14 hour game day!
Game of Thrones board game expansion was a lot of fun – Very different starting scenarios and not as good with 5 players (removing Martell makes Tyrell very strong). Still needs some tweaking with the cards.
Afterward we played 8-minute Empire to wind down (nice & fast!). Then TransAmerica (same thing – still boggles our mind that one player consistently wins this game every time, don’t know how she does it!). Then Lords of Waterdeep. Took a food break at local bar along with Get Bit. Then ended the night with Eclipse and its expansion that I won with full research and a great alliance. TONS OF FUN! 😀
So I was finally able to convince my girlfriend to try Settlers. She had always been appose to the idea as she finds the theme narcoleptic and doesn’t care for Euro games in general. She surprisingly liked it! We we’re also able to play Legendary Dungeoneer. A great card game part of a great series sadly missing from this site.
Had a funny Saturday with some party games of Get Bit! and Telestrations. Might get a little serious today with some Vegas Showdown or Star Trek Catan. If those don’t work out then I”ll just solo a game of Ghost Stories while having ancient chinese fighting music playing in the background.
My wife and I finished our game of Tikal (this is Tikal 1) and although I thought I would win, my wife managed to gain more points than me in the end.
This is a great strategy game that can be played with up to 4 players and you can play two different ways. The first way the game is played with each player taking their turn in sequence and the second way is with players auctioning their points in order to choose a revealed tile and being able to play first.
I finally got to play Bora Bora. This is another great Feld game… I think I popped a blood vessel trying to remember all the different permutations and icons. We also played Airlines Europe, Edge of Empire RPG, Wiz War, and Lord of the Rings LCG. Good times.
Started playing with a new group, so played Wiz-War and Takenoko for the first time and got to teach Dominion to some new folks. And Zombicide. With the DCU downloadable characters.
Last night, with our regular game night friends, we played Shadows Over Camelot. It was a new game for all of us and we went with a possible traitor. We did end up with a traitor, who won. While he was sneaky, it was really the game that beat us. Tonight my husband and I will probably play San Juan (my newest favorite two player game) or Carcassonne (our standby-favorite two player game) or Dominion (another newer-favorite two player game).
Does anyone else keep tally of wins? My husband and I have a card on the fridge with all of our two player games listed where we keep track of wins.
Weekend plans fell apart, just played some 7 Wonders and Dominion. Still fun though.
If you can believe it, the excuse to NOT game was that we’d be doing a lot of gaming for Memorial Day weekend…as if there is ever an excuse to NOT game.

The weekend was very good.
We played magic modalities: Individual, Highlander and Emperor (also known as general).
Finally played Chaos in the Old World with the expansion The Horned Rat.
Win the first match of Khorne and Nurgle in the second match.
And finally a little of Uno.
Today I will play, for the first time, Exodus: Proxima Centaury.

I addwed Lords of Waterdeep; Star Trek Catan; and several games of Salmon Run to my list of games played this weekend.

Played Star Wars X-Wing Battle of Hoth scenario and Star Wars Queen’s Gambit once in honor of May the 4th Be With You day.
Played X-Wing twice and Queen’s Gambit once in honor of May the Fourth. Also capped it off with a 6-player BSG including Pegasus and Exodus.

@jessamonk My wife and I are competitive, but not quite that competitive. No win lists for us. 🙂
Started playing with a new group, so played Wiz-War and Takenoko for the first time and got to teach Dominion to some new folks. And Zombicide. With the DCU downloadable characters.
Got another game of Goblins, Inc in, along with trying out Cabo, mixed in with some fillers like Martian Dice.

This weekend will be few of the shorter games.
Save Dr. Lucky (good fun with the drinking rules on)
and Shadowrifts for some cooperative fun.
