In honor of St. Patrick’s Day we’ll be playing several rounds of Luck O’ the Dice. We’ll also be brushing up on the rules for Dungeon Lords for a game with friends on Monday.
Some more not-so-secret secret advanced gaming and Allegiance came in from Kickstarter and was looking lovely. A perfect way to get some Magic type dueling in without opening the coin purse to cards. The giant main player boards and their special decks and cool down abilities were quite fun.
@Jeff & AD: I have a problem. I am a completionist. I can’t bring myself to throw away game boxes or inserts. Fortunately, it has not become a storage problem, yet….
Jeff – that’s always been my practice. As much as I like complete things, if I can fit the entire contents of an expansion into the main box I’ll cram it in there and recycle the expansion box. There is just not enough space in my house to do it any other way.
Zero gaming this weekend due to some missed connections; did some spring cleaning instead. What are folks’ opinions on tossing/recycling unused game boxes? I had been saving them out of a sense of completion, but then came to the conclusion that I wasn’t that attached to keeping a bin full of empty boxes around — with the release of big boxes and other consolidation measures, I ended up recycling everything that wasn’t being used to store actual games.
Saturdays marathon included Last Will, Gloom, Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective and finally ended on high note at 2.30 AM with Battlestar Galactica
This weekend was Viticulture, Castles of Burgundy, Love Letter and Pandemic Contagion. We were going to also play Rivals of Catan for the first time, but after playing games all day, we weren’t up to figuring out the rules. Next weekend 🙂
On Saturday, starting off with Railways or the World: Europe map & then who knows from there. EDIT: Played Kingsburg w/Forge a Realm expansion & Flash Point: Fire Rescue.
Gathering the crew for a game of Napoleonic Wars on Sunday.

Realized I fibbed earlier — did get to play another game of Sangoku on Friday night with a friend who was in from out of town.
I played several games of Ingenious this weekend. It’s a Qwirkle like tile laying game, and it is a lot of fun.
