Played Phase10 and Pokemon with The Boy.
Only the Arkham Horror believe the bird was there an entire afternoon playing.
What @finched said
@Erikb and I played Dominion (using 1 or 2 cards from all the expansions), Smash Up with both expansions, Sentinals of the Multiverse and Arkham Horror over our extended weekend
So, I made the mistake of expecting Clue Suspect and Sorry Revenge to be any good. At least we got Coup, Takenoko, Betrayal at The House on The Hill, Shadow Hunters, and Race for The Galaxy in. Love it!
It was a great weekend with the kids:
– For Sale
– Yes, Dark Overlord!
– The Werewolves of Miller’s Hollow
– Word on the Street Junior
– Tsuro
– Star Wars X-Wing
– Frank´s Zoo
– Ricochet Robots
– Shadows over Camelot
Saturday Night: started game of Arkham horror (finished at 4:30am – this did include a 1-hour meal break.) Granted it had been a while since we had played last, and there was some rules re-reading. Sunday morning, wanted to play it again, undiscouraged by the 6 1/2 hour play time.
Sunday, instead, tried to play Killer Bunnies again (having picked up the blue starter deck at Goodwill a while ago), after making sure we had all of the cards, found that we were missing the dice (are these colored 12 sided dice necessary, or can we just play with normal 12 sided instead?) Gave up on this plan, and played Small World instead.
Didn’t get the big board games I was looking for but I did get to Play Dungeons & Dragons, and then surrounded that with King of Tokyo, Mascarade, Love Letters, Elder Sign and Hunger Games District 12. It was a fun weekend, still looking to get a Battlestar Galactica, Firefly or Spartacus though, there is always next week.
This weekend wound up being a mixed run of horror games – started off with Elder Sign, then a game of Eldritch Horror, and finally a round of Touch of Evil. I’m sensing a theme to my game shelf, I may need to diversify my selection a bit this year.
I spent most of the weekend painting Descent miniatures, while my husband has been painting the Rivet Wars miniatures, but I think we will still get in a game or two of Smash Up. we also just picked up Dead Panic, so if we get through the rule book on that, we might play it as well.
Played another rousing game of Cards Against Humanity. Very simple game but fantastic for get-togethers with non-gamers who wouldn’t necessarily play “board games.” Never played with anyone who didn’t enjoy themselves.
Last night played Takenoko with a friend who showed up for board game night (which is next week :P) and then headed out to play MtG. Playing more games this afternoon and hoping to get Bruges or Village to the table, and probably try out the Resident Evil deckbuilder a friend is bringing
Got in two session of X-Wing. 150 pts per side. Rebels won both times.
First one was close with a pair of TIE Bombers and a trio of Interceptors against an HWK, an X-, A-, and B-Wings. When the last Bomber went, the A-wing had lost shields, the X-Wing was down to 1 Hull and only the B-Wing had plenty of life with only 1 Shield remaining.
Second one was a loaded up Falcon with a trio of X-wing against a mix of TIEs, Interceptors and Bombers. One X-Wing finally went down towards the end but the Falcon just steam rolled through everyone.
Just wrapped up another full game night with 32 attending. Played Agricola, Luna, Banagrams, The Phantom Society, Race for the Galaxy, Augustusx2, Coupx3, Viticulturex2, Euphoriax2, Werewolfex3, Discount Salmon, Shadows Over Camelot, & Smash Up.
For once, I have no idea. I’d like to take another crack at Rivet Wars. Maybe Terra Mystica with my dad. Beyond that, who knows. Summoner Wars? LOTR LGC? I’ll leave it up to the GF this week.
I’ve played two games of Takenoko with the family over the last two days. Great, fun little game. We’re travelling this weekend, so in addition to Takenoko, I bought along Seasons, Love Letter, Get Bit, and Ascension. I’ll keep my fingers crossed…
I really need to play some more Mice and Mystics.
I have played Loopin Louie with a three year old, a six month old and their parents. The three year old had to stop the game constantly to replace his chips! 😛
Tonight’s a big Dominion night with friends. Can’t wait!!!
Played one new game this weekend…namely Clash of Cultures. Very good and want to play again. Also played my new fav dice placement game called Euphoria, Build a Better Dystopia.
