A few grueling weeks of work have hampered gaming in our house, and we hope to make up for that this weekend. In honor of this week’s explorable favorites, Through the Ages is at the top of the list. We’ll also try out the upcoming Fluxx Dice Expansion with either the Batman or Adventure Time set. Finally, if time permits we want to squeeze in our first game of Dogs of War, which we’ve ignored for 10 months, before a couple new Cool Mini packages arrive in the next few weeks.
What are you playing this weekend?
We just finished a game ofTzolk’in. I think we will probably play games all day tomorrow, sinceHubby is on call and we need to stay near the phone. Hope to play Tzolk’in again so I can try a different strategy. Also hoping to play Alien Frontiers and Roll for the Galaxy. I also hope to work on painting the Mice and Mystics figures. I have the bad guys done, just need to work on the heroes
Got the print and play of Henchling and played a game of that. Picked up the expansion, The Artisan of Naquala, and got to play a game of Five Tribes.
Dead of Winter is good…although it hasn’t filled the “co-op with a betrayer” mechanic for my group yet. Shadows Over Camelot, Betrayal At The House On The Hill, and Dead Of Winter are all REALLY solid, but at their playtime it’s hard for them to hit the table. If a game is going longer, my group needs something a little more meaty.
That being said, I’m hoping got get a 2nd play of The Castles of Burgundy in.
I’m sure you all realize by now I’m a zombie nut. Soooooo, it’s probably obvious I’ll be playing zombie games this weekend consisting of, but not limited to, The Walking Dead board game, The Walking Dead dice game, Zombicide, and Zombie Dice. I do not own Dead of Winter or I’d be playing that as well. I really, really need to get that game! Don’t I?!
My mother-in-law is a huge Love Letter fan. Now that I have the Batman edition, my father-in-law has joined in.
My MiL also loves Atlantis and Carcassonne. Am introducing her to Cthulhu Fluxx.
With a birthday party this weekend, I might not get in much gaming. Here’s hoping I can get a game or two Pandemic or DungeonQuest. Blood Bowl this weekend might be a stretch.
