With Asylum finally in the rear-view (my nightmares will thank me), we started on The Marcy Case in T.I.M.E. Stories last night, and we’ll keep working through it over the weekend.
So, our game night on Saturday went like this… a quick game of Ingenious with the wife and two kids (I won), and then all the kids and I played our first game of Pandemic: Legacy and won.
Game one of PL was amazing! I was already a fan of Pandemic, but my kids weren’t that excited about it. PL has them super excited and begging to play more. We played the month of February on Sunday night, and it was one of the most epic and dramatic finishes I could ever remember as we squeaked out another win. We barely got the last cure in time as we were almost out of black cubes (our COdA), our outbreak level was 7, and we only had enough player deck cards for one more turn (doubt we would have survived the infection round before that). We were so stoked and full of adrenaline as the game came to a close and we watched each of the final four infection cards get revealed one by one (except my oldest had to run out of the room and not watch).
It’s amazing how much the “Legacy” system changes the game. It makes you really care about your characters and every decision you make, because you know things can permanently effect the next game. It’s also super exciting getting to open up a player package or a top secret dossier door.
For Tabletop day we played: The Great Heartland Hauling Co, Can’t Stop, Cartoon Network: Crossover Crisis, Voyages of Marco Polo and Cat Tower. Also played Viticulture: Essential Edition and Zombicide Black Plaque this weekend.
We went away for the weekend and Tabletop Day was on one of those days, so I packed Batman Fluxx, Marvel Dice Masters and The Builders: Middle Ages in my bag. Hope everyone else around the globe had fun.
I just got back from my friend’s place where we played a game of Call Of Cthulhu, two games of Machi Koro, and a game of Mottainai. It was our first time playing Call Of Cthulhu and we loved it! I bought Machi Koro yesterday and we enjoyed it. It’s extremely fast paced and fun. Mottainai was awesome, as always. What a great game!
My group got in games of Cthulhu Wars, Codenames, Zombicide: Black Plague, Ninjato, and the Tokaido Collector’s Edition. Overall, it was a pretty great Tabletop Day for us!
First of all Happy International Tabletop Day!!
Hope together some gaming in. Maybe some Fortune and Glory: the Cliffhanger Game, Star Wars X-Wing, Pandemic w/On The Brink, A Touch of Evil, and hopefully more!
Didn’t realize it was internation tabletop day. Cool. Well, after being terribly busy with two deaths in the family, baseball season, gardening, mowing, and dance, I finally carved out some time to play some games. I’ve just acquired Roll for the Galaxy, Star Realms: Colony Wars, Red7, Scoville, and wait for it…. Pandemic: Legacy!!!! I’m so stoked. So, I’ve already played some Star Realms: Colony Wars and Roll for the Galaxy. The Colony Wars is okay. Roll for the Galaxy is pretty sweet after one play. I played it two player with my son, and he liked it. I’m ready to try against more players. I also played some Concordia for the first time this week. A little long with 5 players, but it was one smooth playing strategic game full of tense decisions. Tonight, we plan a family game night, but I don’t think we’ll play anything new ‘cuz the wife rarely likes to learn new games 🙂 Good chance of some Splendor and Codenames tonight. I’ll report back in later.
We played Bang the Dice Game and Secret Hittller with some Star Fluxx thrown in to boot.
I played Keyflower.
Last weekend was Relic Runners and Tikal.
