I didn’t get to do any gaming last weekend, but we did go to a board game cafe on Tuesday and played 4 games (it was the first time playing all of them). Blokus– quick and easy. It was fun, but don’t think I’ll purchase, though I would play it again. Stone Age– LOVE it! Definitely want to purchase, cause I want to play it right this minute, but I can’t…since I don’t have it! Patchwork– fun for a little 2 player only game. I’d heard it mentioned before, but didn’t know much about it. I may have to get a copy of this as well, because I play games mostly with my husband, so 2 player games work well for us. Hive– I’d never heard of or seen this before. Saw it on the shelf and sounded fairly easy. We needed something easy to learn as our last quick game before we had to leave. I enjoyed it, but not sure that I’ll purchase it- too many other games I like more that I want to purchase first.
We plan to go back to the board game cafe later this month, so I’m really excited!! Have to start researching what we want to try. And tomorrow is game night, so more playing to be had!
Played:
Dice City, Wings of Glory WWII and Arcadia Quest with fellow gamers. The Builders Middle ages with my wife. The builders Middle Ages and The Builders Antiquity combined for a 6 player servings withe the grandchildren.
Late report but Friday was a beautiful day for gaming. We learned 7 Wonders, played our favorite, Dominion, and got our April game of Pandemic:Legacy in. We won the Pandemic:Legacy game so we have to WAIT until May before playing again. It will be hard to wait. We may break it out and try the same scenario over again without it “counting”.
Sunday we played a series of Dominion games where we start from a randomized set and then each winner changes two sets of cards for the next game. Played 4 games of that. We also played Burgle Bros. Sunday evening.
Friday evening – Concept (which I wasn’t too fond of) and Stone Age! I absolutely loved Stone Age! Stone Age plays up to four players; however, the game’s owner had made an extra player mat so we had five players. It worked! This was my first time playing though, and I suspect 5 players is one too many.
@stratagon I imagine it will. I heard some things about that like Star Wars finally got the epic game it deserves.

Just got Star Wars: Rebellion so that will be played an awful lot for the next few weeks.

I had a digital gaming weekend with games on my tablet. I hope to get some dice, cards, and cubes in hand this week.

Saturday got to learn The Castles of Mad King Ludwig, loved it.
Sunday played The Captain is Dead, King of New York, CV, and learned how to play Killer Bunnies.
Played Coloretto for the first time this evening w my son (8) and a friend. Fun, simple (but thinky enough for an 8-y.o.) and quick.
King’s Abbey : 2 games solo
Ancient Terrible Thing with the Lost chapter expansion : 2 games solo
King’s Abbey is really a great solo game that combines dice placement, ressource management and city “abbey” building.
In some ways, the game looks like Kingsburg
Only had time to play 2 games yesterday, but talk about diversity- I played Blood Rage and a new 1: Here Kitty, Kitty.
I just finished up a nice game of Strat-O-Matic Baseball with a friend. It seemed like a great way to celebrate Opening Day.
