- Ticket to Ride: USA 1910
Days of Wonder | Published: 2006 - Monopoly Deal Card Game
Hasbro, Parker Brothers | Published: 2009
These games will be explorable until next Monday, February 1st
I found a copy of Monopoly Deal this weekend and got four plays. It is a neat little filler.
@Hai: No problem, thanks for being part of my ‘herd’. Made Viscount as you saw. Thanks to everyone who helped out!
A month ago we had a retro night at my game meetup and played Ticket to Ride and Ticket to Ride Europe. I had not played either in years. It inspired me to go out and purchase the Ticket to Ride: Europa 1912 and Ticket to Ride: USA 1910 expansions. I hope to get them to the table next weekend.
I have not played Monopoly Deal Card Game. I found it on Amazon for $4.79 and put it in my cart.
Ticket to Ride is one of the best games and it has been years since I played Monopoly Deal Card game, but I remember it as a good game.
@Stargazer Sorry – I would have helped but I am already part of your herd. But it looks like you got what you needed. 🙂 Huzzah Viscount!
TtR just doesn’t make it to the table in my gaming circle anymore.
Believe it or not, I still play Monopoly on occasion at family get togethers. Our games tend to be quicker than the games I remember as a kid. Not sure why.
On another note: Who would like to help out a fellow gamer? I need 1 more follower to hit the Viscount threshold. Follow me and I’ll follow you. I can follow 5 more gamers. I will also take a look at any reviews and tips you have.
Monopoly in 15 minutes sounds like a great alternative to the original. I love ticket to Ride Europe, and I would like to try the USA version with the 1910 expansion.
I really like the Ticket to Ride: 1910 expansion, so much so that I updated my original review since the previous one was terribly lacking.
While the smaller cards of the base game don’t bother me as much as many people I’ve met, we no longer use the small cards at all when playing.
It seems like a natural idea for an expansion that was done right. There was no need for extra rules, just more of what makes the original game good in the first place. I see it as the opposite of what happened with the Catan 5-6 Player Expansion, which was again a very natural idea for an expansion, but it just didn’t come together for us nearly as well. I’m sure it’s easier adding more content than adding more players, so it’s very possible the comparison isn’t completely fair.
Thank you as always for more explorables!
