This Week’s Explorable Games
This round of Explorable Favorites is from BoardGaming.com member BoardDude. The games selected from their Favorites shelf were:
- Hordes: Primal MKII
Privateer Press | Published: 2010 - Istanbul
Alderac Entertainment Group | Published: 2014
These games will be explorable until next Monday, January 18th
I think Istanbul looks very good. Might pick this up!
@AD – No worries. I’ll get there eventually.
Put up a fifth review. Probably not strictly necessary to finish Exploration, but should ease things along.
Congrats BoardDude on having this week’s explorables. Istanbul has been in my cue for a while now, and I hope I get to play it soon.
@Stargazer1 – it feels like I’m going through your favorites every week to see if any of them have landed that extra review to be Explorable. It’s a shame – I think you and @Chris have more unexplored favorites than anybody. I’ll keep checking…
Istanbul’s been one of my favorites since I first had a chance to play a demo back at an AEG Big Game Night at GenCon. I’ll try to get a review up this week so folks might find the exploration a little easier.
There was a quiet release to market of an expansion, Mocha & Baksheesh, which I own but haven’t had a chance to bring to the table yet. When/if I get time to start adding games again, I’ll put together a page for it.
Congrats BoardDude! Will certainly delve into Istanbul a couple more times now, and the catalogue of tips you’ve put up for it will certainly help!
Congrats BoardDude! Some of us are still waiting… (Just kidding AD, I know I’m not eligible.)
As interesting as Hordes: Primal MKII looks, I can’t dive into another miniatures game.
Played Istanbul. Fun game, would like to play it some more.
@BoardDude Congrats on being this week’s Sacred Shelf Spotlight – some people have had to wait quite some time before that happens 😉
Feel free to stop by and play the Metagame and share why these titles are your faves. 🙂
Well, 2 different type of game. I prefer Istanbul
Love Istanbul! It’s a simple yet fun game, and is a euro that scales well for 2 to 5. Most euro seem to have a best played with number, and I’ve really enjoyed Istanbul with any number of people.
