@Harry @BitBot I was at my FLGS yesterday and touched a copy of Deus and held it in a very serious ‘study-the-back-I-might-buy-this-way’ – I definitely count that as a ‘play’

Interesting games, Deus isn’t my favorite, but played a few times with friends that like it, (ie, I lose a lot).

I think we would all look the other way if you claimed to have play them each once to get the requisite items needed for the exploration.

If you think about it, you are playing Boardgaming.com with Deus and Imperial Settlers pieces, so…

Imperial settlers been on my watchlist for some time now. Maybe I should just get over with it and add it to my collection.

Thanks for the good reviews of both games Blaine101. Hope you’ll get many likes to get your levels up;)

Played Deus with @Cyberman – a neat euro – a bit dry for my taste but lots of interesting decision to make and moves quick.

I own Imperial Settlers and have a hard time settling on an opinion of it. It’s appealing overall but very unfriendly to non-gamers and grinds to a screeching halt with 4 players (my last game went 3 hours). Lots to like though – beautiful strategy and each fraction feels unique. Works best as a 2p game with a decisive opponent.

Both solid games, great choices, Blaine!

I have been eyeing Imperial Settlers for some time now. But of these 2014 entries look very good.

Played Imperial Settlers a couple of times. Fun game!

Haven’t played Deus, but gotta give this one a try! I like the lite civ building games.

Thanks Blaine for filling out the reviews a bit. They were needed.

Loved Deus the first time I played it. Bought a copy and it makes it to my table with some frequency. A little more neutral in my first play-through of Imperial Settlers, but I can see that I would enjoy it with successive plays.

C’mon guys we need some reviews to finish exploring these. I haven’t played them, so I can’t put anything up. They both look interesting though.

Looks like I’ll be having a hard time completing Deus at least 😉

Congrats Blaine 🙂

Two games I thoroughly enjoy as well, albeit I’m not touching Imperial Settlers with 4 players again..

Always great to see new explorables.

At the moment the Imperial Settlers Official Game Site link doesn’t go to the right place (or they changed their site around).
