Become a BoardGaming.com Recruiter!
By inviting new users to join BoardGaming.com, you can complete the Recruiter quests and level up your Reporter skill class.
Start now, because the contest achievement for August’s prizes is to complete the Novice Recruiter quest!
These quests are completed by earning Recruiter Points:
- 1 Point every time your recruit increases their Gamer Level.
- 1 Point when the person you invited recruits somebody else (2nd tier recruit).
- 1 Point when the person you invited recruits another person who recruits somebody else (3rd tier recruit).
The more active your recruits are, the easier it will be for you to level up. So yes, it’s a case of who can invite whom first. Let the race begin!

Gems
You might have noticed that there is another type of currency that has been added below your user id called Gems. You also may have noticed that the recruiting quests reward them! What these can be used for is still in the works, but they will be worth more than BG Gold.
I have tried so hard to get my buddies out here, but they are deft at doing their own thing and avoiding being helpful!!
Eric, they probably just haven’t reached level 1 yet. They won’t count as invite points until they’ve reached level 1.
I have some friends I’ve invited who haven’t reached level 1 yet. Of course, I can’t see who’s accepted the invite either, so I can’t check who’s attained levels and who hasn’t.
Hmmm. I’ve had several friends say they signed up, but I do not see that reflected in the recruit bar. They must be lying to me.
I have no friends. :_(
Very Facebook. So far I’ve successfully restricted my invites to people who might like this quality site.
I feel like I am in a Facebook app. Soon, my friends will hate my SPAM.
Is there a way to know if a recruit has singed on before they become “active”?
Oh, that’s why I’ve been invited. Sick sad world.
