SMERSH is good fun and we’ve always had a good time and a few laugh while playing it (especially reading the Encounters in amusing espionage accents) and the Tome of Encounters hits about every spy trope in the literal book.
It is a fun 007 Tales of the Avengering Nights story telling romp with a little Fortune and Glory globe trotting feel as you try to gather intel with various hench bosses popping up to make your Missions Impossible.
We have the first print with the Swagman’s Hope expansion and a few extra goodies and baddies via Kickstarter.
That’s a good looking game with a neat map. The Book of Encounters with its text filled pages seems as though it will last through many plays. And somewhere there is a copy of Love Letter sans one red velvet bag…

It’s a coop game. Each one has his own adventure but player must work together in order to get enough intel and beat henchmens. Player must beat the game, everybody win or everybody loose
If you know Tales of the Arabian Night I would say that this one has more cooperative element and more action.
Is this a co op or competitive?
Just played this this past weekend. Good game. Its along the same vein as Tales of Arabian Nights but with more meat to it. The components are nice too. Glossy finished board and thick cardboard chits. the character sheets are a bit flimsy. Overall fun game with good looking components.
