Just got the new expansion for Mage Wars, Conquest of Kumanjaro, so we’ll definitely be checking that out! It’s been a long week, so we’ll probably break out the lighter games this weekend.
Finally got to sit down and play some Ascension: Storm of Souls with my roommate again. I have advocated draining the honor with a Lifebound-heavy hand before, but I never really made much use of the Snake-Shaman before last night; he’s brilliant!
I didn’t have to fight anything on a really monster-heavy board and didn’t really fill my hand up with a lot of bloat because I’d spend my runes directly on honor, ending the game before my opponent could get an effective machine running.
I had a great weekend where we played Quarantine with the family for the first 2 times. Then Sunday my brother came over with Dominion. I had played it once years ago and so had my sons. We played it through and enjoyed it. My brother surprised me and left it at my place since he will only be able to play it here. It was very cool.
Played Forbidden Island with the wee one on Father’s Day. My wife got me a copy of Culdsept Saga for XBOX 360, which is basically a board game, so I guess that sorta counts too.
As I mentioned earlier I got to play Keyflower and Forbidden Desert on Friday, but the weekend developed nicely as we had a good bit of gaming on Sunday. So, to add to the tally we have the Doctor Who Card Game (congrats to the team for their Origins award for this one), Roll Through the Ages, Gubs (instantly one of my daughters favourites) and Android Netrunner. I enjoyed all that. 🙂
We’ve been hitting Mice and Mystics pretty hard lately, but I don’t always have time to play that long of a game with my daughter. So I bought Sleeping Queens and Rory’s Story Cubes to play with my her. Hopefully she likes them.
Doing some travelling this week-end, so there may not be many opportunities for gaming. Father’s day is on Sunday, though, and I may receive a game or two as a gift. We’ll see…
Friend brought over Killer Bunnies to today that I got to play for the first time. Not bad but i think Munchkin is better. And we also got a used copy of (dont laugh) The Game of Life Star Wars version off eBay. I’ve never played TGOL before but this one was quite enjoyable.
I’ve started the weekend off well with a trip to the local games club where I got to have my first play of the (justly) highly regarded Keyflower, followed by a couple of games of Forbidden Desert (one terrible loss, followed by a decent win). I don’t think there’ll be much more gaming this weekend, but we’ll probably play a couple of lightweight games (most likely Love Letter and Goblins Drool, Fairies Rule) and I’m hoping for a game or two of Android Netrunner.
Played two games of Agricola All Creatures Big and Small tonight. Tomorrow I will introduce some people to board gaming, maybe start with Ticket to Ride or Pandemic.
Gaming might be off this weekend, my best friend is getting married, so we’re going to a medieval cellar in the old town of the city to celebrate. Vi ska festa fästet sönder!
Played some Dixit: Journey with my family for Father’s Day.

Lost a couple of times at small world, and won Game of Thrones LCG. I thought they were supposed to let me win on father’s day.
Played Legendary and London on Friday.
Magic: the Gathering in the following categories: double and Highlander.
Then we had a mini-tournament Uno for a change ^^.
And then play Gears of War with the Mission Pack 1 again.
DC DBG!!
Father’s Day Weekend so I’m just plying some heroclix.
Voluspa, Milestones, Vampire Empire, Time n Space

Tomorrow I’ll be attending http://conclaveofgamers.org/ for a full day of gaming. Should be fun.
