The girls and I have been playing a Warhammer Quest campaign all week. Their attention span sometimes only allows for a few rooms a session, but they are happy to come back to it after a little downtime, so that has been pretty sweet.
Gulo Gulo gets some play time, and played some more No Stress Chess with the kids as well.
I also have a copy of Space Hulk due to be delivered tomorrow, thanks to the Explorable Favorites from the shelf of Strategon, so there goes my expendable gaming income (and accrued Amazon points) for a while. Seriously psyched to play that! Hoping to play a solo game or two of Ghost Stories as well.
I have lost the last 6 straight games of Star Realms to my husband and hope to reverse that this weekend when we have a rematch. After that, maybe some Pandemic or Smallworld since we haven’t played either recently.
A board game cafe sounds wonderful! Wish there was one in our town!
In the mail this week, I received Ticket to Ride 10th anniversary edition, the Tokaido expansion (Tokaido: Crossroads), and the Yin Yang card deck “expansion” for Ghost Stories, so I’m excited to try them all out! Now for the hard decision of which to try first…..
I have the app version of Ticket to Ride, but I have a feeling (and I’m hoping) that the physical board version will be more fun.
I picked up Star Realms eariler this week and plan to get a couple of games in with this. I also purchased the Crisis expansion packs at the same time and will slowly incorporate the new cards as I get more familiar with the core game.
Sunday is going to be sweet. I’m going to a board game cafe to play a laundry list of games that I really want to try out, some games which include Splendor, Dead of Winter, Concept, and Panic on Wall Street!!
@anm
Kaleb has a board game cafe here in Omaha called Spielbound. It is super awesome. Maybe we might be seeing more of them pop up around the country.
