Finally got around to playing several games of Dice Drivin’ on the weekend with my son. He loved it. Looks like this might get a bit of a workout in our house over the holidays.
@Stratagon I have seen the summons and after a Hai-atus I am back to look at your quiz 🙂
Let’s see – #1 and #3 – I’d have to say that when you start a new coup does it coup the old coup – that’s anarchy. And when it comes to penguins and pyramids – you win or you die – very intriguing.
2 and 4-7 are correct. 1 and 3 are not on this site, so “cheating” is not possible, but that may be a helpful clue anyway. Two games of #1 can be played in the time frame that it takes to watch the television show that #3 is (loosely) based on. I have attempted to summon the all-knowing Hai to assist you…
@Stratagon – that was a tough quiz. Not sure of too many of them. Number 2 is Acquire as Inmarg mentions. And I also agree with Inmarg that number 4 is Codenames. I want to say that number 1 is Puerto Rico with some kinda expansion, but I’m not sure an expansion exists.
Epic Game Day yesterday. Here are some clues to what was played. How many can you guess?
1 – This will play similar to the original game, but our roles for today are Producer, General, Socialist, Priest and Plantation Owner. These cards show the rules.
2 – I need Tower to merge with Imperial before it gets taken over by Festival.
3 – This game used to be about penguins, but they pasted on this theme instead. Some of us are not up to date on the series, and since many of these characters are dead now, be careful not to spoil anything. So just build the pyramid and be quiet.
4 – Brasswind : 2
5 – Our helmsman must have been distracted by Twitter since he left our ship in such bad position. Let’s hope we have enough shields on the starboard side. Flick that disk and see if we can hit the enemy.
6 – I have just enough diamonds to attract that noble. Can you do this chip trick?
7 – I’m not sure if my Star Empire/ Machine Cult hybrid will have a chance against your Blob deck.
Another light gaming weekend due to company Xmas party and some other goings on. Did manage to get plays of Kutuzov: War in Russia, 1812, Mr. Jack & Star Wars: Destiny(3x) in on Saturday.
Had a good gaming weekend.
Friday (12/16): Evolution & Star Wars: Destiny (2x)
Saturday (12/17): Arcadia Quest (2x) & epic Arkham Horror game with many expansions.

Weekend of the 16th, Saturday, during a snowstorm, played a game of Castles of Mad King Ludwig, Mysterium, and Epic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards.

My page is wonky. It says that there are 19 comments, but I can only see 15 when I look…
I had a light gaming weekend of Dino Dice, Dungeon, and Sushi Go.
Got a game of Scythe in with 6 players using the expansion.
A little longer but still really fun.
Also Burgle Bros and Hogwarts Battle hit the table.
1st is possibly a version of Coup or am I aiming completely wrong direction?
Possibly Coup Rebellion G54 for number 1 then?
@inamrg and Stargazer1

Friday
Stratagon
Without cheating (meaning checking your plays..)
The obvious ones:
4) Codenames in some form, guessing pictures since it is the latest release 😉
5) Space cadets
6) Splendor
7) Star Realms
and 2) could very well be Acquire although I can’t remember those names.
Hooked on Formula D at the moment, love it!
